Durandal

Tales of Lorentis Durandal, the mythical and indestructible sword of Roland, nephew of the Charlemagne. In this case, the Blade might not be powered by angels, nor belong to a Frankish Prince. This sword was created by the Hive, after all. Some would hardly distinguish it from an Arc Blade, but Hive Swords behave very similarly. I have to say, however, that this sword does behave like an Arc Blade, but hungers for Light like Crota's... Where did I get it, you ask? This was in the days before I became a Guardian, before I became Kell. I found it inside a Seeder that crashed in Old Montreal. It was my first time around town, but not my last. The Seeder had crashed inside the Olympic Stadium. I stood in the broken and desolated streets, looking in the distance the ship stuck in the glass dome that made the roof. Since at the time I did not have a Sparrow, I improvised. This one foolish Dreg, someone like you my dear friend, attempted to kill me with a Pike. For him I meant loot, for me he meant a way to get out there faster. I took cover behind a destroyed car as he shot at me and, as he got closer, I cloaked myself, jumped on the Pike and slit his throat open with my knife and now Ether was leaking out of it. I kicked him off the vehicule and made my way to the Olympic Stadium. I entered the stadium and saw, much to my surprise, an Hive Acolyte wielding a Sword. With it, he quickly killed the 3 Guardians that attempted to kill him. The idiots kept reviving themselves and charged back at him only to fail once more and repeat. Still, I was in the Olympic Stadium and that proved to be quite the entertainement. I took a seat in an old bench meant for spectators and watched the show for about 10 minutes before growing bored. They acted as a good distraction. As the Acolyte was swinging his blade towards his ennemies, I came up from behind, stabbed the hand he used to hold the Sword, grabbed it and decapitated him. The Guardians thanked me for the help and asked me to give it to them. Instead of telling them my refusal, I tested my new weapon on them. They revived in anger and chased me for revenge, but I threw a knife at the glass ceiling and caused the Seeder to fall and block their path before leaving. And that is how I gained Durandal. But why was I telling you this again? OH YES! I was about to cut you to bits for not giving me your -blam!-ing Strange Coin!
