*Post doesn't apply to PvP*
Let's be honest
Almost every warlock uses Sunsinger in PvE
Almost every Sunsinger uses self revive
Almost every Sunsinger using self revive waits until they die to use their super
Almost every Sunsinger that self revived makes a small amount of orbs
IMO, if you wait til u die to use your super, you are a shitty player
Anyone who has experienced the glory of 3 warlocks all using their supercharges all the time knows it's the best way to play the game (aside from raids, whole different playstyle is necessary for those)
If you are a Warlock reading this, please consider turning of self revive
I dare you to play 10 ROC strikes where you use your super the second the yellow bar appears, then tell me how you liked the playstyle
All this being said, I main a Hunter b/c 99% of people can't use the Warlock effectively
Bring honor to the Warlocks fellow guardians
EDIT: im trying to stay away from giving Voidwalkers a bad name, trying to keep negative comments to sunsingers
EDIT 2: apparently a lot of people rely on sunsingers to save their team when everyone else dies??? There's such a thing called strategy, and excellent strategy>waiting until everyone dies to progress
EDIT 3: so according to some, not currently having a warlock makes me ignorant to everything about the class and unable to judge the class and the people using it -_-
For one, i had a fully leveled warlock but wanted a second hunter. Two, I've been playing since day 1 and understand the roles in depth of every class better than most warlocks i meet
EDIT 4: IM NOT TELLING YOU HOW TO PLAY! PLAY HOWEVER YOU WANT, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
EDIT 5: the comments seem pretty skewed towards "self revive is a great crutch, back off dudey" it's obvious that this post attracts warlocks, butthurt or not. However, the only time it is acceptable IMO to use fireborn is soloing nightfalls and 2 manning VoG or cheesing the bridge cp in CE

I rock Voidwalker for everything except hard mode raids
-
I hate warlocks solely because of pvp
-
Why do I play Sunsinger? Because they have an excellent balance of offensive and defensive skills and traits. Although their abilities do not hit nearly as hard as a Voidwalker's, their generally-better defense, regeneration, and agility, as well as their defensive abilities, allow for greater survivability. Fireborn is incredibly useful, particularly in raids and nightfall strikes. They're great for those moments when some bug (my favorite being when I get killed by a supplicant detonation when standing 15+ feet away) downs me. Some people view fireborn as a crutch, and it can be. Sunsingers who throw themselves to the wolves knowing that they can just self-res are ultimately less effective than Sunsingers who play intelligently. Using self-res carelessly often results in it being unavailable when it is truly needed. I rarely die in PvE, so radiance is a skill which I rarely use. Although I find it incredibly useful in PvP (radiant skin is great), I do not find it particularly great for PvE. I use Sunsinger primarily for its better trait balance, flame shield, touch of flame, and Viking funeral (that DPS). Fireborn is just a bonus. As for orbs, I use Light Beyond Nemesis to help alleviate this.

PRO-TIP: Posting your opinion in a public forum is always going to bring hate. I personally do not wait to die to use my super, if the opportunity is there to make a bonfire out of the thrall's then I will. It's nice to have the self revive as a back up.
-
I don't understand the issue with using a super that's sopose to bring you back to life after you die?
-
I agree with you. Most of the locks I play with wait until they die When I play as my Warlock I use Voidwalker and it is a lot better in my opinion
-
Hahahahahaahahaha
make me
Edited by Vibe machine: 3/5/2015 4:44:33 PMI play void walker in raids strikes and everywhere ._. It's a majority of the community that kicks you if you don't use self Rez even though in like crota self Rez is pretty moot when you can kill the sword bear and shit faster
-
Edited by SOB BADD0GGIE: 3/5/2015 4:04:46 PMA buddy and I were using OM, BJJ and Voidwalker. We were chaining supers on the loot stairs (for the "kill x thing with your super, 20x" bounty, not for loot) and we were generating more orbs than we could use. That was just the two of us. Imagine the power of three or more doing the same thing. Self-rez does have it's uses and can prevent a wipe, but if you've got a full FT in a raid or in a strike, the likelihood that someone won't be able to revive you is slim. Edit: Yes I'm aware that HM raids don't come with the revive option. Go ahead and run it in VoG, then. Run Song of Flame or Radiant Skin in CE, because you shouldn't be dying anyway.
-
I'm that guy that self res and kills ya or solar flares the objective while my team picks them off so funny from my end but you sound like one of those crying hunters that say warlocks and titans or op cause of this and that
-
I use void walker in PVP lol
-
I run fireborn but I'm not afraid to use that super to make orbs or spam grenades to clear out ads
-
What about those of us that prefer Voidwalker? I only use Sunsinger for Solar Burn Nightfalls/Weeklies.
-
I'm only on Sunsinger to max it put, but I'm running Song of Flame for my team. I don't die often enough to use Fireborn, so it's of no use to my group. I'll just churn the orbs and quicken yo cooldowns. I mostly am on Voidwalker just space magicing everything.
-
Hm raids, I'd rather have the insurance clause. That said if it's a phase I'm not going to die in I'll pop it to me orbs. Rocs, normal raids, and pvp...radiant skin. Only when I'm playing with friends do I use song of flame
-
Sunsingers making orbs at Crota hard checkpoint is becoming more and more valuable now that I have infusion.
-
I have all 3 characters all 32. Doing roc never use the super. Why? Cuz shit so easy u don't need to.
-
I figured that having 6 guardians and me self res is better than 5, guess I was wrong
-
My opinion is that blade dancer spawns not as much as when I self res sometimes blade dancer can even get one orb to spawn.
my English is not my first language so sorry if I have any mistake
-
Screw that. If I run sunsinger its HoPF, radiant skin, gift of light and viking funeral. Burn the world!
-
Nah brah. It's all about voidwalker, bad juju and the motherfunking obsidian mind. Hell yeah
-
All classes have their advantages the hunter has a one shot kill weapon ? Chill Tf out butt hurt bitch
-
I use fire born when asked to be a clutch, if not I put on radiant skin(think that's what it's called) so that my fireteam can cool down faster if I'm close and tossing nades, or I switch voidwalker cuz nova bombs matched with defender titan and a gunslinger is -blam!-ing boss. Titan shield, drops orbs, gunslinger goes to cowboy town, and then I knee slide pass them w the orbs and nova da shit for clean up...
-
Here's what I hear. "Why can't you kill more enemies for me? I clearly don't know how to clear areas fast enough cause I'm too busy dying from 20 enemies hitting me when I try to blade dance them."
-
only use self rez when soloing a nightfall. Radiant skin all the way otherwise.
-
I only use self res in nightfall, weekly heroic, and raids. Even then I still use it to drop majors. No point in holding onto it when you have 100% intellect and can get it back a minute later.
