*Post doesn't apply to PvP*
Let's be honest
Almost every warlock uses Sunsinger in PvE
Almost every Sunsinger uses self revive
Almost every Sunsinger using self revive waits until they die to use their super
Almost every Sunsinger that self revived makes a small amount of orbs
IMO, if you wait til u die to use your super, you are a shitty player
Anyone who has experienced the glory of 3 warlocks all using their supercharges all the time knows it's the best way to play the game (aside from raids, whole different playstyle is necessary for those)
If you are a Warlock reading this, please consider turning of self revive
I dare you to play 10 ROC strikes where you use your super the second the yellow bar appears, then tell me how you liked the playstyle
All this being said, I main a Hunter b/c 99% of people can't use the Warlock effectively
Bring honor to the Warlocks fellow guardians
EDIT: im trying to stay away from giving Voidwalkers a bad name, trying to keep negative comments to sunsingers
EDIT 2: apparently a lot of people rely on sunsingers to save their team when everyone else dies??? There's such a thing called strategy, and excellent strategy>waiting until everyone dies to progress
EDIT 3: so according to some, not currently having a warlock makes me ignorant to everything about the class and unable to judge the class and the people using it -_-
For one, i had a fully leveled warlock but wanted a second hunter. Two, I've been playing since day 1 and understand the roles in depth of every class better than most warlocks i meet
EDIT 4: IM NOT TELLING YOU HOW TO PLAY! PLAY HOWEVER YOU WANT, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
EDIT 5: the comments seem pretty skewed towards "self revive is a great crutch, back off dudey" it's obvious that this post attracts warlocks, butthurt or not. However, the only time it is acceptable IMO to use fireborn is soloing nightfalls and 2 manning VoG or cheesing the bridge cp in CE

I've been using voidwalker for awhile with the OM and bad juju. Nova bombs are fun when they are nonstop!
-
I see a lot more orbs coming from warlocks then hunters... a lot more
-
Oh, and hunters supers are literally the most useless thing in PVE, ever.
-
This is why I save self rez for only raids or hard nightfalls
-
I agree with you to a degree. First of all, I prefer Voidwalker the majority of the time, and don't save that super. Secondly, I do get in situations where I save my self revive super in case we all die, but only in Nightfalls and maybe other really hard missions. If you're running a Roc strike for goodness sake though, use your super and don't save it. Supers are made to be used.
-
That part where you main a hunter because 99% of warlocks don't run it right? This makes sense how exactly?
-
Agree 100%. Self res is a crutch, and I only use it on my 2nd warlock as I don't have voidwalker levelled for that character. /: Even though I use it, I usually end up popping my super since I can safely assume I won't be dying. Also as a side note: self res is complete trash in crucible and everyone who uses it is a noob.
-
Self revive is a stupid perk. I hate it because it causes players to rely on it way to much instead of helping the team with their super.
-
Even when self reviving and only using super after death, I still make more orbs than a hunter. So yah. Keep failing on that argument Kay.
-
This kid was probably born wrong I've had my warlock since day 1 Us warlocks do what we want to do. Don't go against me. Look at my grimiore and levels I'll beat you in anything.
-
On the crota cp you make one orb from self reviving and another 4-5 for each ultra you kill within the radiance timeframe. That's more than hunters...
-
You are a scrub... EDIT: IN MY OPINION...lol
-
Does baby want a bottle?
-
Another Sinsinger bashing thread. These are almost as bad as the guys making female character threads.
-
What I do is go all out ham att on a boss, die, self res and stick a fusion to face
-
When i play roc strikes my super still does less damage than a heavy or special weapon. And with ice breaker, black hammer and fatebringer you dont really need a super. Keep heavy ammo only for the bosses. So yea i save my super for if i die on accident.
-
I'm a warlock and I agree. When I play SS I only save my super (self res) if I'm in a very difficult boss fight. Otherwise I like to use Praxic and spam grenades all over the place every time I can. Having your super in self res isn't a bad thing, only using it when you're dead is the problem.
-
Hey. You suck. Solar wind is the only reason I use sun singer. Push everyone around.
-
Yet another worthless a$$ post.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/5/2015 8:09:42 AMIf I don't use Fireborn on Sunsinger, chances are I'm playing a Voidwalker as its much more effective. Sunsingers are just bad, Radiant skin just doesn't make a significant difference, solar shield is the only melee choice, increasing radiance's duration and using Gift of the Sun is the only way to go. Yeah, I'll just rock Song of Flame and Solar Wind in the Crucible. Derp derp. (If I use Sunsinger in PvP, I'm wearing Voidfang and use fusion grenades with gift of the sun and Fireborn. I spawn, get two sticky kills, die, self Rez, 1-3 sticky kills, die, re spawn with 2 stickys. 2.0+ K/D) Voidwalker is much more fun though.
-
I use mine whenever there is potential to generate lots of orbs. I would prefer my teammates to both have a super rather than just me holding on until i die. If it's nightfall then I tend to keep hold of it just in case, otherwise, ORBS!! ORBS EVERYWHERE!!
-
If you're telling me that a good Light Beyond Nemesis wearing Sunsinger hasn't saved your fireteam in a Nightfall, Raid or even a Weekly, then you are in no way qualified to be making this post.
-
I use void walker and use nova to knock out two Knights for nine orbs on hard crota
-
I use sunsinger as a shield :), then want to make as much orbs as possible. Only in raids when I'm on my warlock, I use fireborn as a backup. I'm not one of those guys that rushes into groups of enemies "since I can self-res". I mean, my other characters can't do it, so why get used to it.
