Why I hate (most) warlocks
*Post doesn't apply to PvP*
Let's be honest
Almost every warlock uses Sunsinger in PvE
Almost every Sunsinger uses self revive
Almost every Sunsinger using self revive waits until they die to use their super
Almost every Sunsinger that self revived makes a small amount of orbs
IMO, if you wait til u die to use your super, you are a shitty player
Anyone who has experienced the glory of 3 warlocks all using their supercharges all the time knows it's the best way to play the game (aside from raids, whole different playstyle is necessary for those)
If you are a Warlock reading this, please consider turning of self revive
I dare you to play 10 ROC strikes where you use your super the second the yellow bar appears, then tell me how you liked the playstyle
All this being said, I main a Hunter b/c 99% of people can't use the Warlock effectively
Bring honor to the Warlocks fellow guardians
EDIT: im trying to stay away from giving Voidwalkers a bad name, trying to keep negative comments to sunsingers
EDIT 2: apparently a lot of people rely on sunsingers to save their team when everyone else dies??? There's such a thing called strategy, and excellent strategy>waiting until everyone dies to progress
EDIT 3: so according to some, not currently having a warlock makes me ignorant to everything about the class and unable to judge the class and the people using it -_-
For one, i had a fully leveled warlock but wanted a second hunter. Two, I've been playing since day 1 and understand the roles in depth of every class better than most warlocks i meet

EDIT 5: the comments seem pretty skewed towards "self revive is a great crutch, back off dudey" it's obvious that this post attracts warlocks, butthurt or not. However, the only time it is acceptable IMO to use fireborn is soloing nightfalls and 2 manning VoG or cheesing the bridge cp in CE

2 RepliesI only use self res in nightfall, weekly heroic, and raids. Even then I still use it to drop majors. No point in holding onto it when you have 100% intellect and can get it back a minute later.

Use of the super is so unbalance vs all other supers that pretty much guarantee at [b]least[/b] one kill if not multiples. Requires a bit more thought, use as a panic super will most likely waste it. Let's talk about the titan or hunter that lands their super when you don't see them coming.. You're dead right? Yes you are. So you're butt is a little sore that someone reserrected.. and killed you when your back was turned, and you were not expecting it. Guess what welcome to how to use your super 101. It doesn't matter what class you are, that's how it's done. Hope your butt feels better. Fyi.. if my super is available during an roc strike and I die. Damn straight I'll use it. But I'll tell you this.. I can solo them with out dying. Without cheesing. (Without going invisible)

I only self res on raids and nightfalls. I agree radiant skin is so much better

I save my super on the raid and nightfall just incase. The weekly is the only other thing that there is to do I guess that is what you are referring. Or do you get people to help you with the daily. I think you might suck I've never once worried about someone generating orbs for me.

Your opinion is literally contradiction. We wait to self revive, save a teammate, generate a few orbs, etc. Are you kidding? Why are you salty over this aspect of the game when there is so much other stuff you could whine about? And btw, how many orbs do you generate as a hunter? Maybe 3? That's if you're lucky? You're whining about a class that can make 2x that amount of orbs, has probably saved you multiple times, etc. And let's not forget the Titans either though, when they pop a bubble, usually it's 2 orbs. TWO whole orbs. Why aren't you whining about them? Personally, I think every single class is useful and amazing. Warlock's self revive, Hunter's invisibility, Titan's Ward. Stop whining and appreciate the class for what it is.

If this really is true of "most" warlock then I'm ashamed of the rest of my order. I main warlock and in most PVE I run Voidwalker. I will run Sunsinger for bosses as you get much better DPS from your super, but of course you have to use it! In very rare occasions I may 'save' my self-res, for example in a particularly difficult Nightfall, or a critical point of a hard mode raid, but otherwise I will be continuously pooping orbs for you!

I play warlock both sunsinger and voidwalker (prefer voidwalker) but I completely agree. Most warlocks do hold that 2nd life in their pockets until they need it. You'll get through strikes/raids faster if you use your super more. Not only do you contribute more damage to the group but you'll fuel the supers of your team mates which allows you to use your super more often. In my opinion warlocks, especially sunsingers, should be the biggest orb contributers of any group.

This is a big annoyance for me, my main is warlock...MAKE SOME DAMN ORBS!!! How you go through a strike and never use your super???? It's mind bottling (enjoy the reference).

Remember to tell the next Warlock you play with how stupid he is after he resurrects and saves your entire team from returning to orbit during a Nightfall, or comes back to life during a raid to be the only person to surive it... What a joke. "Oh no, they're not spawning enough orbs for me!" ='( And don't reply with the, "I don't/my team doesn't all die. It's called being good, blah blah blah." Everyone dies occassionally. Be thankful Warlocks are around to save your ass. Someone else using a super is the least of my worries during any game mode

For vanguard ROC I use song of light and grenade spam enemies for orbs

Only use sunsinger on raids and nightfalls

Most sun singers now should be spamming the granades out as they all should have bought hopf and will enjoy it alot more information only use sun singer in raids now really its all about the void for everything else and even in some raids health steal comes in handy

I save sunslinger for when no one can revive me or everyone is dead I usually end up producing 3-8 orbs usually 4 or 6

Not all warlocks use self revive carelessly. I still use it but I use it smartly, if I need to clear out enemies, I'm gonna use it, dead or not. If there aren't many adds, I save it for when I die. The only time I'm "careless" with self Rez ls when my teammate is down in a dangerous spot. I can try to clear it out a bit from a distance then go to save him, and if I go down too, I can self Rez, effectively clearing out enemies and then reviving a down teammate. Using it whenever the bar fills would just be dumb. Your super is for clearing groups of enemies, and if there are none, you're wasting your time and your super. There is a way to fireborn like an actual competent person. Use it as a tool. Not a crutch.

Iread all you post, im a warlock and i an void walker. I play in team with others sunsingers and they play good, i don't have problem with that.

I use radiant skin during lamps and people like me for 6-9 orbs until I feel i might die i put on self res

I myself don't use my super a lot as it is. Thus its just a nice little safety net in case everyone screws up. Sort of like saving the last round in the zombie apocalypse in case you get bit...just saying.

I've been using voidwalker for awhile with the OM and bad juju. Nova bombs are fun when they are nonstop!
