My son (who is 14 months old) has never received a vaccination.
Kids receive more than 40 vaccinations before their 4th birthday. IMO that is just complete overkill on what you are putting in a newborns body.
Who's with me?

Well I surely hope no one kids I know go to school with your kid. Because one little disease like mumps or measles that should be eradicated could easily infect your kid and infect half the population surrounding you. So thankyou for taking for granted our advanced medicine. Im pretty sure people in developing countries would surely take that vaccine and they are much more deserving then you

I'm undecided. Though there are many advantages to vaccines, all of which involve safety, I'm unsure if we should be "interfering" with the immune system as much as we are. Antibiotics-resistant bacteria are on the rise and I wonder if vaccines play a role in that.

More than 40 by the age of 4? Not sure where you got that number, but my oldest is a teen and has had less than half of that.

Nope not with you

Nobody. Stop endangering children.

Edited by Achronos: 3/3/2015 2:14:46 AMOp is fgt. Vaccines may not be a 100% guaranteed fix, but it's wayy better than your kid's next to 0% immunity

I knew a girl in middleschool who never got vaccinations. She got the flu every year, missing weeks of school, sometimes even needing to go to the hospital. Its a risk but its your choice. I can only hope you are aware that it could lead to bad stuff.

Yikes. Not sure I agree at all. How awful will you feel if (and gosh I hope it doesn't happen) your children do get sick? If it wasn't important to have these shots they wouldn't make sure every child gets to have them. Maybe I'm missing a trick? I'd rather the child have a mild illness for a day than a life threatening one later.

I have 3 kids, they all got vaccinated, and they are all perfectly healthy, and I don't have to worry about them contracting some previously defeated disease. Congrats though, you do.
-
I agree it's overkill but I'm still getting my child the basic vaccinations
