I Don't do 300 weapons
I have gotten many vog weapons including 2 fatebringers, I don't use them, don't even give them a chance, yesterday I dismantled a fatebringer and atheons epilogue, when u fight level 22 and up enemies 300 is not as effective as 331, I don't care how good fatebringer is, if I get it i dismantle it. [b]They may be good but they are LIMITED more than u know, hit the link[/b]

Edit 2: some of u don't seem to understand that I am not saying they are bad, I am saying the 300 limits performance and that is why I don't use them, I have no problem with you using them, for those of u not willing to try to understand the chart, if the fatebringer was 331 it would and 12.6% more damage, that's the difference
Edit3: many of you seem to enjoy calling me a scrub I just wanted you to know that scrub is a word that gamers use to make them feel superior over other gamers

Edit5: people keep telling me to do my research on how the damage works in this game maybe you should do your research because I already have there is a lot of data out there proving me right that 331 is far more superior than everybody else thinks over 300

Edit 7: let me repeat this for the 100000 -blam!-in time, the fb and other vog weapons are good weapons I belive that the fb is actually one of the best however the link I posted PROVES that they are limited in what they do against higher level enemies, this is a fact no matter how good there performance is, put it this way, what if the fb was 331, the only thing it would change is the fact that it is a limited weapon and raise damage by 12.6%

It does marginally less on a 33 level enemy than a 331 word( about 20) and about 120 less than a 331 thorn. Based off of ur stats the fatebringer continues to sh*t all over the rest of the competition. We haven't even got into the fact that the fatebringers perks are far superior than every other hand cannons and its a legendary freeing up ur exotic slot for either a special or heavy. Did u even think before posting? If YOU don't want to be bothered with it then that's fine but it doesn't make you right

I'm leveling my vault gear because it makes it easier to kill Oracles when running the vault. That's the only time I use them tho. Don't feel the need to run my fatrbringer in the nightfall if I have oversouls edict tho

4 RepliesSo I'm sitting here in class reading this post and all I can ask my self is "what is the point of this post?" The guy gets on the forum and titles his post "Don't do 300 weapons", so either he's telling players not to rank up weapons that deal a maximum of 300 damage, or he's telling his audience that HE himself doesn't use 300 damage-based weapons (Why he feels the need in keeping the community notified of his actions is beyond me). Next he decides to brag about how he gets raid weapons and then dismantles them because they're "bad" for higher leveled enemies, excusing his actions by saying "why waste my time?"(at this point I'm wondering why he's even doing VoG in the first place). Finally, he concludes his entire post by telling the community to click the link so that you can see the stats for yourselves, meaning he chooses to follow "written stats" over "personal experience". Oh, and let's not forget his edits in which he insists that the stats are ABSOLUTE, so the community's opinions are invalid on the matter. Which brings me back to my question: what is the point of this post? Why did you state your own personal opinion on the Fatebringer (and the rest of the raid weapons) and immediately respond with "everyone is wrong because the stats say you're wrong" on most of your edits?

How can you keep using the phrase "far superior"? The damage might be slightly higher yes, but that makes a difference with what... One shot? And the ONLY thing that dictates a 331 weapon now is Crota's End hard mode. Everything else is and will still be beast. Not that I think that fatebringer is master race but it is amazing to use in the abyss.

I can still rock shadow price in crucible so I think it's fine also there is not much of a damage difference until lv 26 so unless you are going against lv 28 and up 300 weapons can still be good. Oh one more thing your not our mom mind your own business. We can use 300 weapons if we want

How many other weapons fire one round and kill 5 enemies? Work out the damage output on that! You Sir, (as many others have said) are a scrub.

2 RepliesEnemies are also scaled to you, once you are higher than them you only do as much damage to them as if you were their highest level. So 300s are just as useful if your a 32 as if you were a 30. It's only when you're lower level than them that it really shows a difference

Damage aside, why the -blam!- would anybody dismantle a primary weapon that does elemental damage?! Oh and FB is the tits!

1 ReplyYou're wrong dude, sorry. Think about it this way - there are only a couple endgame activites that you reasonably expect to be difficult; nightfall, VoG, and Crota's End. I guess you could throw in the Weekly too, but it's related to the nightfall. Anyway, fatebringer is the best because it has the best perks. As long as an enemy is 1 hit by it, firefly and outlaw are as effective as they can be. Even against 32 acolytes in crota's end fatebringer hits 1 shot kills. There's no advantage to using a 331 weapon over it when it's a 1 hit anyway. With tougher enemies like 33 acolytes it's not as great, and a gun with hive disruptor is still better. For nightfall, arc burn boost damage so high that you will once again have no issues with one shotting, so fatebringer is still the best. Overall, fatebringer is still the best gun for most sections of VoG, normal Crota's End, sections of Hard CE, Nightfalls with arc burn, or roc strikes.

5 RepliesPoint is, any 32 weapon (331) damage, is only useful in CE. Sure a 331 damage weapon might do more during lower activities, but it really comes down to what you're comparing to. Nonetheless preferences. A 300 FB will do more damage than any AR, PR, or SR that have 331 simply due to impact rates. The only weapons to be better than a 300 FB are other Handcannoms with same impact or more with 331 damage. Until HoW drops with its 365 damage, then you can start complaining about 300 damage weapons such as FB being used. But again, the higher damage weapons only really matter in the higher raids. People will still continue to use FB during normal activities or even still during weeklies and nights when theyre at 32 simply because that 31 damage is still not much unless, again, compared to other handcannons.
