Putting together a guardian and powerful inventory through the PvE , then showcasing it in PvP .. Why else would you build a character ?

To use in raids and other high-end PvE content? PvP is nothing interesting you don't really need to "build" you character with powerful gear. I think Crucible will be more interesting when they remove Exotic perks, tracker, supers, and double jumping. Also I believe they need bigger maps in rotation. Destiny maps are too tiny and result in people use HC's, and shotguns, and the occasional FR. It's why I stopped trying to play Crucible it's just flat out broken and uninteresting.
