This is the way to evolve a weapon... I would delete a Guardian and start a new one just to grow a Common to Uncommon to Rare to Legendary... having it end as an Exotic would just be cake on top of the icing of the cake sandwich....

If Bungie did do it maybe on patch they send each character that hasn't got 1 a package with it that why we don't have to start over. Could the same template be applied to the strangers rifle??
