I worked out why I hate the idea of this.
The vault as it is (in the Tower) requires actual thought and planning ahead. Before you put a thing in there, you need to think over whether the character will or won't need it for what you're planning to do. Characters need to carry a selection of weapons and equipment for any situation. And if you have only 1 of something, then 1 character carries it, and you improvise the rest of the time. As close to realistic as this game can get.
Now one can magically grab the things they want without all that annoying thought and planning ahead that just slows things down.

It's a sci-fi. Game. Fiction. Less time wasted is a huge bonus in my book. Cause we have people on here with over 1,000 hours. Hell, i have 250 or more by now. Yea, ill skip the insane load time when i want to swap all my guns to my other character. Now, if they could just get everything from the tower on the app/bungie.net i would never have to waste any time there in the first place. It's not a "social" area like they planned. they need to get rid of that idea. If you wear your glowhoo, sure, someone will message you but otherwise its just 16 people running back n forth and exiting. Not necessary. Cool, but unnecessary as f

Your characters have no character (the way I look at it) if you just swap the same 3 guns between them and don't think of them as individual creations. I have a history and a different gun preference for each of my characters. My Titan CAN'T use the Hard Light that the Hunter carries, because it's not HIS Hard Light. That's after 400+ hours. Still not bored. 10 minutes in the Tower is nothing.

Haven't yet. I look at it as improving my problem-solving skills. What's the point in solving every encounter with the exact same weapons/class combo? This is why I sometimes carry Red Death with a Titan, just now used MIDA on my Hunter. But I gotta say, Ice Breaker is pretty handy in most situations. That's why I bought 3. No trips to the vault needed.

There is no such thing as "over-thinking". How can a character, on Mars, get an item from a vault on Earth? What is the in-game logic? This "outside-game" "app" breaks the in-game world.

Haha, i also have weapons like the timur's lash that Only my Titan can use Because it is "his" weapon. Same goes for The Chance on my Hunter. Feel you there. You also were responsible for my first little chuckle of the day ;-)
