My last word gleaming in the little light there was. As my vision cleared the peak of the incline i heard a horrid deafening screach. After realising this was not in fact my mom after looking at the colossal increase on the scales since she last stepped upon them, i spun around! There he stood! A lone dreg! His gun trained at my head. Ready to shoot me down like the dirty fallen bastard he is! My heart jumped! My right hand shot up and slapped back the hammer of my mighty pistol!! "BANG" I missed by about 10 meters nailing the rock behind him. "BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG" Like thunder echoing through the archers line right to the anchor of light, from the cliffs of Elgin to the hills of Cravendash. I was about 5 meters away. Every shot so close i had practically gave him a shave! The next round was somewhat like poetry, hitting a glorious crit, his head exploding with the impact. The skill involved was somewhat astronomical!!! As his corpse fell a blue orb jumped from it, rolling down the slight bank and landing at my feet. I left that instant! Back in the tower i slowly struted like a home coming hero to rahool. This bastard had turned my purples into blues and crushed my hope so many times over! I was weary after my encounter with the dreg and i was expecting little. I held square and saw the blue engram, i hit x! He handed to me an unusual coin, it felt warm in my palm. I slipped it into the pocket of my tight hunter pants. As i felt it warm, gently vibrating against my boy sword, i smiled. I knew i had earned this!! :) If you don't believe me you can ask the dreg, he will not tell you otherwise!

Don't listen to these idiot hypocrites DJ. Untill there is a way to see if someone bought or found by luck an exotic, then there is no way to tell if they bought or found, and i personaly dont belive the majority of people that say they earned this or that. Xur is a good solution to your broken RnG system. Until the game tracks and rewards according, or gives us other ways to earn exotics like bounties, Xur is truly the only earned exotic gear besides the current bounties.

In all honesty it takes longer / more effort to gain 13 strange coins then to open any 1 chest in the game. Since all are in fact rng, people who opened a chest and received a ghorn or black hammer. ...or whatever. ...actually put in less effort then the person who used 13 coins to buy it. The confusion comes from people who believe that opening the same chest multiple times in some way influences the instance when you received an item you wanted. In this case opening a chest today has no effect on what you get when you open the same chest next week. So you don't in fact earn anything in a rng game.
