No radars? Check
One heavy drop per map? Check
Map knowledge and flanking tactics? Check as -blam!-
Staring at a radar was a crutch that will now be removed and the truly skilled will now come about.
The downside? The campers are coming out to play and then turning around and calling it "skill".
EDIT: MOTHER OF GOD I FORGOT ABOUT HUNTERS.
-blam!- my life. The map will be crawling with invisible pricks
EDIT: Hey guys / gals, we got someone from Bungie to respond on here which is cool and all but please don't hound the guy / gal.
EDIT: Hey guys / gals, as many of you may now know, Bungie is offering an "Open House" for players to "meet and greet" some of the crucible designers and attempt to get some fire hot questions answered about the upcoming Crucible playlist
You can get the details right here at the link provided. https://www.bungie.net/7_Developer-Open-House/en/News/News?aid=12623
This thread will remain open for further conversation

I dont have a prob with campers. If it gives us the win go for it.
-
Is there any special gear for inferno mode? Sounds like its less fun with no rewards to compensate. Hell I'm all for true skill inferno mode!
-
EDIT: MOTHER OF GOD I FORGOT ABOUT HUNTERS. -blam!- my life. The map will be crawling with invisible pricks!
It will also be filled with fist of panic titans shitting their pants when they meet someone around a corner.
-
It's time to soundwhore :) my astro A40's are coming out of retirement lol As OP said this will be good divide the men and the mouse.
-
Please list all the fps games where there are no campers

Edited by Greg Higgins: 3/1/2015 12:54:54 AMI understand what you're saying but you can't just hound hunters for having an invisibility perk, it's the way it's supposed to be, that's why they put it in the game. Of course people are gonna camp regardless. But hunters are easy to kill, I'd be worried more about a Titan camping and chaining up kills then when I've got my heavy ready to hill him, he comes out of no where with a fist of havoc, same for a void walker warlock. And weapons of light too, with helm of the saint, lol hunters are the least of your worries man, hunters don't have a ton of armor or high recovery, titans and warlock do!
-
How is invisibility useful when there is no radar? You can hear it being activated and can clearly see the blue effect of the character. It's only use was being taken off radar
-
if you get killed by a camper, avoid the place hes camping at. simple
-
Would anyone else like a S&D type gamemode? Don't say go back to COD because I hate that game I was just thinking
-
No radar? Finally.
-
If you have Turtle Beaches or the Gold Wireless Stereo headset for the PS4 you will hear anything. Go get your broke ass a decent headset and stop complaining
-
They should remove all heavy and special weapons, also remove all exotics
-
let them camp....makes it easier to hunt for.
-
Check out the database for the new exotics there pretty crucible based that will turn combat into something completely new
-
Looking forward to hearing how you guys like the mode. :) I'm pretty decent at using flank routes and aerials to punish campers, but we'll see how the meta-game evolves once it goes live. So far, invisible Hunters haven't been as much a problem as you'd think. A big part of the value of invisibility in PvP is that the Tracker can read like you're dealing with a crouching opponent who's actually moving at a higher speed. No Tracker also makes players more sensitive to audio and visual cues and I expect them to spot invis a little bit faster than in normal Crucible. We'll see when it goes live on Tuesday.

You forgot no supers.
-
I'm ok with no radar and less heavy weapon cheese. Many players play on their knees anyway to try to stay off radar so now there will be no need to squat. I was hoping for a no super barebones playlist but of course that won't happen. We can't just have straight up gun on gun fights.
-
Prepare for tonnes of shotguns around corners and sniping.
-
I laughed at the part about invisible pricks. Shits funny.

Edited by SmilyYellowFace: 2/28/2015 3:31:23 AMA skilled camper > a skilled normal player. This game mode will be dominated by camping. I'm a Hunter, so even tho this style of play is right up my alley, I'm going to keep as far away as possible.
-
Edited by Alfsac: 2/28/2015 3:23:44 AMYou can avoid playing it, I know I won't play it unless there is 15 more grimoire points involved.
-
If by true skill you mean everyone camping in corners and doorways with shotguns the whole game then yes true skill will b shown when no radar is on
-
It's a new playlist. FYI you don't have to play it if you don't want too.

Wasn't there supposed to be a mode with no supers, or am I missing something? Because that is what I'm waiting for.

Dude camping is a real strategy, that's what the Marines do in combat
