Weasel error code - then can't reconnect to Xbox Live or my router at all

This has started happening the past few days after spending around an hour in Iron Banner. In the middle of a game, after a death, I will be unable to respawn. Eventually the game will lag out and it will pop the Weasel code. The killer part is the following. Not only am I disconnected from Bungie's Destiny Servers - I'm booted from Xbox Live. When I attempt to reconnect to my home router my Xbox One says "Check your network name and password and try again." Which is ridiculous as I haven't changed anything for my internet setup. No other device on my home network seems to be affected and nothing appears to even see a hiccup in service when my Xbox One can't even connect to my router. -------- Comcast Internet 50/20 connection Modem = Motorola Sufboard SB6141 Router = Asus RT-N66U -------- The only thing that seems to fix this is a full reset of the X1 Go to settings, turn power mode to "energy saver", then select "turn off xbox" Wait until the X1 completely turns off (light on front stops flashing) Wait another 30 seconds Power your Xbox on using the guide button on the controller

  • Iron Banner is back so WEASEL is back in droves. Every 45-65 minutes I'm booted offline and my Xbox One thinks it has the wrong password for my wireless router. A reboot of the Xbox One is the only thing that fixes it.

  • Same thing happens to me. I'm also on comcast internet. I get weasel then lose connection to xbox live. Futhermore, no apps will load. I have to hard reset the xbox in order to restore functionality to the xbox and to connect to xbox live. I only get this error during PVP

  • This issue is still happening. After any extended play in the Crucible eventually you get a Weasel error on Xbox One. The ONLY solution is to power off and power on your Xbox One.

  • Just played about 85 minutes of various PvP modes. Weasel error pops up. It's definitely something in the way the X1 handles prolonged exposure to PvP data connections in Destiny. Doesn't seem to have this issue with Halo MCC.

    • This happens to me at least 3 times a night. The only way I can get it to reconnect is by completely unplugging my console.

        I am seeing the same issue. I am on #xbox1 with uverse as my ISP. I even bought a new router recently to see if it would fix the problem. Happens with 2WIRE 3801HGV and with NETGEAR R6700. I understand errors happen, but the fact that this error crashes the networking on my #xbox1, which requires a hard reset to fix, is unacceptable. This needs to be a high priority for Bungie. Feel like the app issue has become a smoke screen for this bug. It is a completely different problem. I don't even use the app.

          How many devices are in your house exactly? Networks could prioritize on these other devices due to large bandwidth use. This isn't bungie or your Xbox. After you turn off your iPhone (big contributor) or other computers, and restart your xbox you should be fine.

          • I have the exact same issue, started in the middle of the iron banner and has continued ever since. (only difference is I centurylink) Since then I noticed it usually occurs 45min to an hour after playing.

            Same thing just happened to me. Da fuk. EDIT: Just happened again, 3 days later. What the hell. How does this game break the network connection for the entire console? And why now? It never broke to such an extreme extent before.

          • ive started to get multiple errors such as weasel, i can only manage to get to orbit if im lucky and it wont stabilise so i can't lauch anything, otherwise it'll load for ages on a black screen or tell me my permissions to access online multiplayer have changed. Now i didnt want to spend the whole week getting to rank 4 in iron banner just to be kicked off before i can get enough glimmer to actually buy their armour. THIS IS -blam!-ING BULLSHIT

              Comcast you say? I had the sane problem and decided to contact them. I requested a new modem, a different company made one than the one I had. I asked for an ARRIS instead of motorola, Now everything works A ok.

                • Hey there! The error code Weasel is part of a branch of the error code Centipede. It's there to assist Bungie in finding the causes of Centipede. I recommend you quit the application (Destiny) and relaunch it or reset your connection. Hope this helps!
