Do you use primaries with Oracle disruptor in VOG hard
It just took me an hour and a half to do atheon on hard with a group of guys who ran through CE normal in 29 minutes. The reason why? They weren't getting oracles down fast enough. Mind you everyone in tis group was a 31 or 32. I saw MIDA, Thorns and words of Crota being used on oracles, just to list a few. Do people not realize how important oracle disruptor is?
Thanks for all the replies guys good to see that a lot of people use oracle disruptor primaries. I'll also have to give Super Good Advice a shot as that seems to be a favorite amongst you guys

1 ReplyIf you don't have oracle disruptor use a solid 331 fusion rifle with high impact. I try to communicate that to my group.

Edited by KiloCrusher: 2/21/2015 4:00:13 AMI never do, I use what I want. I've recently been running my Ghaleon's Demise along with a Plug One (w/ accelerated coils) and Gjallarhorn. I do just fine against oracles. I usually use my Plug One on them and it takes them down really fast.

Confluence for supplicant kills only... black hammer for atheon.... Corrective measure for oracles and relic dps help. If someone thinks oracle disruptor guns are good for atheon fight they primarily beat atheon on normal. I believe it takes 15 shots with VOC to take down one oracle.

Super good advice! I can do an entire Atheon fight with 3-4 times vengeance without having to even reload !

Edited by Fadoodling: 2/21/2015 1:27:39 AMPraetorian foil is good for the Atheon fight for Oracles, plus it makes Supplicants disappear because it's a fusion rifle so you don't get the explosion which could kill you or your fireteam members. For primary I use the fang of ir yut because Atheon gets hit hard with it. For my exotic it's my trusty Ghorn for when I get teleported to Venus because that place is buggy and Praetorian's need to be G-Checked or else they'll go from 0hp to full hp + double shields because VoG is a buggy place.

Those people were probably fresh from the Iron Banner. Suros, and the exotic hand cannons are all I see in IB. Don't get me started on secondaries.

I use Corrective Measure, the 300 rounds is usually enough to handle 3 teleports which is all a good team should need.

I use VoC as it's about 15-20 bullets per oracle with no help and prad revenge as a quick destroyer just in case

4 RepliesI have VOC. What I don't like is the rather long reload time. How many shots does it take to disrupt an Oracle anway? Does anyone know? I usually just put it on auto and keep firing until it is about gone. Am I doing it right because I find myself not being able to shoot them fast enough. I am not a very good raid player yet so please don't beat me up here I am not trolling - just looking for some good advice from experienced VoG players.

1 ReplyI just need people to not run out of ammo. I was in a raid where one guys keeps running out of ammo. Ffs i dont even know how thats possible. Just use a fking scout and have 300 bullets or autorifle and have 700 to 900 bullets.

Atheons epilogue=high rate of fire=many proccs of oracle disruptor It is way faster then fatebringer or voc.

(Whether inside with oracles or slaying supplicants) Nothing. If you don't have CM then any VoG obtained weapon is a better choice than a normal weapon* *super good advice is an exception*

I can now just swap to my one shot pretorian foil and make up for the noob next to me trying to shoot oracles without oracle disruptor.

Light of the abyss fusion rifle does great in oracles. One blast from that and one or two bullets from the other guy and the oracle is destroyed.

Only primary I use is vog but super good advice better then any primary

It's really a must. Nothing else does enough to bring them down fast enough. Well, nothing non vault I should say. If it has disrupted it works, but doesn't if not. I use word of crota for suplicants, praedyths revenge for oricals, and gjally for atheon.

Atheon's My void LDR (field scout & final round) Gjallarhorn That is my go to loadout for Atheon. Never fails. Always have max times vengeance unless the other person shooting oracles is garbage. I'm always able to get 2 rockets off on Atheon before he starts to move, at which point I jump in the bubble and start sniping. Always done in 2 portals.
