It just took me an hour and a half to do atheon on hard with a group of guys who ran through CE normal in 29 minutes. The reason why? They weren't getting oracles down fast enough. Mind you everyone in tis group was a 31 or 32. I saw MIDA, Thorns and words of Crota being used on oracles, just to list a few. Do people not realize how important oracle disruptor is?
Thanks for all the replies guys good to see that a lot of people use oracle disruptor primaries. I'll also have to give Super Good Advice a shot as that seems to be a favorite amongst you guys

I use The Cure. A rocket launcher that has 3 rounds and returns ammo directly to the magazine when missed. It one shots the oracles and has almost infinite ammo against them.
-
I use VoC or the Fang of Ir Yut... I don't really see a difference, but normally I run relic because there are still a lot of people who won't pick it up...
-
Only one does it for me... CORRECTIVE MEASURE
-
Super Good Advice is the best I've used
-
No, simply put, I don't have any lol!
-
I do swap to AR at atheon for oracles, my secondary and gg are all I need outside the portal. I usually equip Gjallahorn to take out then us Minotaur if the relic holder need help.
-
Fathebringer and corrective measure
-
I use a maxed super good advice it shreds oracles
-
Fatebringer & Light of the Abyss wreck oracles. Anyone using the word on them is a dickhead.
-
If the relic holder is good, they can smash at least 4 Oracles on both past and future teleport. This saves a ton of time and ammo for the other two shooting. Fusion rifles and heavy machine guns are the way to go.
-
I feel the same about using the helmet and gauntlets... Perks matter...
-
Shouldn't be using any primary on oracles. Praetorian foil or corrective measure is the way to go. Black hammer is pretty good to if you have fast reload
-
I was using atheon's epilogue but I've recently maxed out and switched over to Vision of Confluence with overall better results. That said Corrective Measure is my go-to. Drop gatekeeper with Ghorn, drop Ghorn for Corrective Measure, murder oracles. Had a guy die in Venus fighting the oracles so I jumped in with my 100 round mag CM and blasted all 5 of the remaining oracles in a matter of seconds, saving the run. I love you Corrective Measure :)

Edited by girflush: 2/25/2015 9:59:31 AMAbsolutely. I've been in quite a few teams who can't get through a single Atheon portal phase because I was the only one with oracle disrupting vog weapons. Of course they all had their shiny new crota weapons.. It's doable if half the team has vog weapons but you end up having to send people in to help and that's just a mess IMO. It shouldn't come to that. Funny thing I had a 32 tonight who was trying to argue with me about this today and he didn't even know what the oracle disruptor perk was.

Murmur all day. Works SO well
-
fang of ir yut!!
-
VOC all day.
-
Your team sucks lol I barely run it but it takes literally two runs to kill Atheon especially with weapons of light
-
F8bringer...
-
Praetorians Foil on Oracles... 1HKO after reload.. can I get a " Aww Hell yea!!!!"
-
I normally switch between corrective measure, praedyths revenge, and Fatebringer, so that we can kill all of them without having to take the time to reload, it helps a lot, especially when all the good players are inside and just need to get out as soon as possible.

Edited by whiskeychaser: 2/23/2015 2:25:56 PM1 sga can take out every oracle during an atheon teleport on hard mode, with no reloading. No other gun can do that besides maybe corrective measure. (Dont have)

Atheon epilogue the oracle's. Simple as that.
-
I use SUPER GOOD MOTHERFUÇKIN ADVICE
-
It is extremely important to use oracle disrupting weapons on the Atheon phase on hard. Besides VoC with Field Scout, it takes approximately one clip of an oracle disrupting primary to down an oracle on hard. I'd like to note that for some reason Fatebringer /w explosive rounds does not apply to this- I think the explosive rounds messes up oracle disruptor or something.

Fusion rifles all day, pocket infinty
