Use common sense," the Warlock said to the team. The six walked onto the plate, and the bridge started raising. The bridge was almost completed when a Hunter jumped onto it, phased through, and fell to their death. "Damn it, Eris! I said an indication will appear on your HUD once the bridge is built!" yelled Toland. He grumbled as he walked off the plate to revive the Hunter. As Eris stood up, the bridge was finished being built. The six descended into the Hellmouth. "Guardian down," announced Toland's ghost. "Who died?" he asked the fireteam. "Was I not supposed to jump?" asked Eriana-3. "Not really, no. Okay we have to wait in this circle to revive her, so don't wander off Eris!" Toland told the group, as Eris was starting to wade out into the black water. The Hunter returned. As Mota was reviving Eriana-3, Toland explained what they were going to do. "Alright, you are going to get a debuff called 'weight of darkness' if you leave this circle. It stacks up to ten, and causes you to lose double jump and eventually sprint. You can remove it by standing next to those lamps, but they'll explode, so you'll have to keep moving. Invisibility is good here, so we'll send Eris through first and then the five of us will go after her. Ready Eris?" asked Toland. "Yep," said Eris, running to the first lamp. Toland provided covering fire for her with his Shadow Price, while Eriana-3 and Mota, clearly bored, punched each other. "Hey, what happens if I walk the other direction?" asked Omar, not waiting for an answer. "No, don't go that way! It's a—" "Guardian down!""Drop," said Toland. "Hey, I can help Eris now," said Omar. "I think enough time's passed. You three, go ahead. Follow the lamps, they're orange now. I'll get Omar and then come," said Toland. The three went ahead. Toland revived Omar. "Guardian down!" "Cursed thrall got me!" complained Eris. "Guardian down!" Eriana-3, Mota, and Vell were all dead. "Guardian down!" Omar was dead. "How did you die? There was no one near us!" yelled Toland. "I thought we were wiping," replied Omar. "How did you guys die?" asked Eris. "A lot of them were by one lamp. There was a knight there," answered Vell. "I blew myself up because Mota got in the way of my rocket," answered Eriana. "You guys stay put, I'll solo this," said Toland. He switched weapons, and then started running through the abyss. Thankfully, Eris had gotten all but two lamps. He stood in the plate as the hordes attacked him. He fired off a Nova Bomb. He gunned down another group of enemies, then fired off another Nova Bomb. "How are you firing all those Nova Bombs?" asked Mota. "Obsidian Mind and Bad Juju combo," said Toland. "But Bad Juju sucks," said Vell. "You just haven't used it, clearly," replied Toland. "Hey, why weren't you going invisible when the Thralls hit you? Don't you have Don't Touch Me?" asked Omar to Eris. "I did, but I dismantled them. I wanted to use my Radiant Dance Machines," replied Eris. "Okay, the bridge is built," said Toland as an Ogre disintegrated. He rushed across the bridge, not daring to look back. Everyone's vision turned white. The fireteam was standing before a massive chasm. "Hey, I got Dogged Gage!" said Eris, Mota, and Omar in Unison. "I got Abyss Defiant!" said Eriana ecstatically. "I got Willbreaker's Fists!" shouted Vell. "Shards," whispered Toland. "Okay guys," said Toland, regaining his composure, "we need to stand on that middle plate to raise the bridge–" he was cut off by Vell. "We saw this part on YouTube, Toland. We know how to do it. Eris is going to go across first," said Vell. Vell and Eris headed towards the centre, Toland and Omar towards the right totem, and Eriana and Mota headed towards the left totem. "Alright, Vell, build the bridge," said Toland. Vell stepped on the plate, and Hive crawled from the chasm. Toland cut down the Thralls easily with his Shadow Price. "Swordbearer is out!" yelled Vell. Omar fired his scout rifle at the Swordbearer, while Toland cut down the Acolytes and Thralls assaulting the totem. "Swordbearer is down!" yelled Mota. Eris rushed forward and grabbed the sword. Vell dropped his bubble on the plate, and Eris Morn rushed across the bridge, ripping the Gatekeeper on the other end apart. "I'm good!" Eris told her fireteam. "Guardian down." Mota had died. "Toland's charged?" asked Eriana, before jumping off the ledge. "Why are you guys killing yourselves?" asked Toland. "We need you to die and then revive yourselves and us," replied Mota. "Damn it. Omar, get to the Swordbearer. Kill him and get the sword. I'll raise the bridge. And I'll tell you why your plan won't work, Vell. First, this is hard. I can't revive you. Second, I'm not Sunsinger!" shouted Toland, racing to the centre plate. "Guardian down." "The Swordbearer got me," said Omar. Toland fired on the Swordbearer while raising the bridge. "What are you doing? You'll activate the totems!" yelled Eris, Vell, and Mota. Once the annihilator totems activated, Toland stepped off. He repeated this until the bridge was formed and the Swordbearer was dead. He grabbed the sword and rushed across the bridge. "You stay behind that pillar, Eris. I'll get up on the rock by the door to the Shrieker hall," said Toland, heading towards his perch. He used Bad Juju to destroy the Thralls, Wizards, and Ogres. The guardians across the chasm were revived and rewards were dropped. "Tireless striders!" shouted Omar and Mota. "We match, baby," Omar said to Mota. "Oversoul edict," said the only other survivor, Eris, as she inspected the gun. "Deathsinger's Herald!" proclaimed Eriana. "I got the Willbreaker's Greaves!" shouted Vell. "More god-damn shards," muttered Toland. He regained his composure, "this is the Shrieker hall. Eris is gonna stay back and snipe the Shriekers. The rest of us are going to run like hell for the door at the end." Five started running, and Eris started sniping the Shriekers. "Guardian down." Mota and Vell had been obliterated by Thralls. Toland had the door in view, and it was wide open. He jumped over the pit, about to get through the door. And fell through the hole in the floor. He landed in the water, followed by Eriana. "Sorry, Toland. I landed on your head," she apologised. Eris and Omar landed in the water, and Vell and Mota revived in it. "Okay, Omar and Mota are going to go to the left tower. I'll lure out that Wizard. Eris and Eriana go right. Vell, lure out that Wizard. Everyone ready?" asked Toland. His fireteam nodded, and raced out of the room. Toland entered into the left wing, and got the Wizard's attention. He turned tail once she noticed him and made a beeline for the tower. "Where are Omar and Mota?" asked Toland, noticing his tower was empty. "They're over here with us," Eriana told him. "Wizard's out," shouted Vell, rushing towards the right tower. "Why are you two with Eris?" asked Toland, firing his Final Boss at the Wizard. "You said left tower. This is the left," Mota replied. "No. I clearly meant left from the pool we were in," answered Toland, finishing his Wizard off and jumping over the horde of Knights and Acolytes before heading into the left wing to kill the Shrieker. Toland killed the Shrieker using his One Way Ticket 000, and headed to the right side to make the final charge on Ir Yut. "Wizard is down!" announced Eris. "She just went down?" inquired Toland, rushing into the right wing and killing the Shrieker. He rushed out of the right wing. "Okay, guy, don't go in there until–" Toland's fireteam raced into the room with the crystal, eager to kill Ir Yut "she begins her liturgy." Toland sighed, and reloaded his heavy ammo as he waited for Ir Yut to begin her liturgy. "Guardian down." Mota and Eriana had been killed. "Ir Yut shot them," Eris told Toland, coming out of the room. "She couldn't have shot them if they had waited until the liturgy!" yelled Toland, just as the liturgy began. Toland headed into the crystal chamber and fired a Nova Bomb at the Wizard Ir Yut, who was now standing still. He then fired three rockets into her, killing her and leaving the rooms. "Guardian down." Eris had been slain by a Hallowed Knight. Vell, Omar, and Toland jumped into the right tower and started sniping the remaining Hive, and cleared them out after five minutes. The fireteam got their rewards. "She dropped Ir Yut's Fang!" said Eris. "I got Relentless Harness!" yelled Omar. "Suros Regime!" cheered Mota. "I got Gjallahorn!" exclaimed Vell. "I got Deathsinger's Mantle!" said Eriana. "I got more damn shards!" shouted Toland, pissed. After he cooled off, he brought his team into the crystal room. To be concluded...
