Hawkmoon. Vex. Suros. TLW. Thorn. Plan C. Pocket Infinity. Warlock melee. Shoulder charge. Blade dancer.
Just to name a few off the top of my head.
What warrants the 'hate' of these weapons and skills? Most of us have and use these. But we bitch and moan about all the other 'OP' things used against us. Let me use an example.
A Vex user gets out played by a Thorn user and says the Thorn needs a nerf. Why? Because you feel Bungie needs to compensate for your inability to aim better than the other person?
The problem isn't the weapons or class skills. The problem is YOU (or network connection).
Your weapon doesn't get out played. YOU get outplayed. Aim better. Aim faster. Out smart your opponent.
Fix yourself before telling Bungie to fix their game.

20 RepliesThorn is kind of ridiculous, though... Two head shots and burn out? It would make sense if it killed you outright but the fact that they can run away after a few shots is a little unbelievable. If they don't nerf it, then that's their business but it's pretty damn annoying to get side swiped by one and die by burning.

3 RepliesBungie has actually admitted that all ARs, SGs, FRs, and HCs are OP. Hence, the 1.1.1 update, I agree it is stupid to bitch and moan about a video game, but your argument is a bit askew.
-
From personal experience i have found out that everyone that has killed me is either a lag switcher or a hacker.

The problem is server lag and half the team's network connection.
-
4 RepliesMy only argument is hand cannons that can one shot you from any distance, that's the only OP issue I have.

1 ReplyThe only thing I have a problem with is some Fusion Rifles. You should not be able to one shot people from fifty feet away. There should be less special ammo overall since people can just never have to use their primary right now.
-
-
For starters, NO fusion rifle should be auto-fire. That is complete and utter BS. I'm talking about Pocket Infinity (or Plan C, whichever one does that). The Vex is *technically* a fusion rifle, but it fires like an auto rifle and has less impact.

Yes!!!!! You and I just became insta-friends haha I post on almost every nerf post I see! Basically saying the exact same thing. Everyone needs to bump this!

1 ReplyI like this post because its the truth, you know exactly how these weapons and skills you hate get used against you, so, plan for that. out perform you're opponent, or get rekt.

The Comp Shooter's Mantra: Every weapon and technique I used to kill YOU is just evidence of my superior skills. Every weapon you use to kill me is either an act of TEACHERY....or evidence that the game is BROKEN in sme fandamental way. The Vex user complains because he believes simply HAVING the weapon entitles him to being able to wreck the joint in pvp.

Dear Bungie, please nerf skilled players. It's fun to out gun all guns that plp think are OP, or even super. It's a play style that you have to do in order to succeed. I used to fkn HATE shotguns, charge rifles, and even fist of panic. Then I learned how to counter all just like the guns. It takes practice and mostly skill to achieve this. Just look at my stats

7 RepliesSome weapons are clearly overpowered. It's true that skill has something to do with it, but I don't use the last word, vex, pocket infinity because when I do, all of a sudden I win a disproportionate number of fair fights. Well...sometimes I use them when I want to make people angry, but I don't try and rationalize my success with those weapons by thinking it was my new found skill that earned those kills. Abilities are more difficult. It took me months to learn how to use blink correctly. I tried shoulder charging and it was rough. I used to die every time I used fist of panic, space magic or blade danced. I still die often, and watch each of those classes eat rockets. I think abilities are balanced fairly well because they were never without drawbacks or counters.

3 RepliesEdited by Knives: 2/19/2015 4:42:55 PMPeople or should I say kids? complain about weapons being OP because they don't really know the real issue or how to voice it correctly because they're...kids...and we all know kids are dumb. What they are trying to express is that there is an inherent balance issue. The weapons you've listed are "OP" because the ToK (time to kill) is faster than any other weapons out there. You can have perfect aim hitting all headshot and still get outshot simply because their weapon kills you faster. Abilities are seemingly "OP" but they're really there as utilities to counter the "OP" weapons and not really "OP" due to the fact that majority of your kills are with weapons and not abilities. Conclusion: Your weapons do get out-damaged by other weapons but that is the nature of this game. You must make decisions in-game that outsmart your opponent through use of your abilities, map maneuver and heavy control.

They shouldn't nerf anything that just ruins the game, what they need to do is kick players with horrible connection or the players using udp unicorn. I report them but idk if it does anything you can tell when there lag switching because there connection bar goes from green to red for about 30 seconds then back to green these cheaters are ruining the game. I can't even kill them with a gjallerhorn

7 RepliesI primarily use pocket infinity. I played around 15 matches of iron banner yesterday and didnt once come across another PI user. The weapon is not nearly as common as i thought it would be for how OP it is
-
1 ReplyNo weapons are OP. Weapons are weapons. Warloc melee is op because you don't need a kill to get over shield. No other class has this get out jail free card that isn't a super. Arc blade lasts too long. Warloc and titan can super and get multi kills but they need to be all together and done. A blade dancer can cross a map getting kills while they have a dmg resist buff up and get healed with each kill. Titans bubble isn't op cause it can be supered.

3 RepliesI went against a full team of TLW and either light of the abyss or final round spear as their secondary. Also they were all hunters with trip mines and golden guns. Clone guys show some individuality geez

Those people who rely on cheap tactics and crutch weapons are easily demoralized by skilled players who do not. It's and admittance of insecurity and fear.
