R1, R1, R2, R2 vs. R2, R2, R2
Swordbearers, if you could be so kind as to share your technique. Up until this point I have just been getting in as many R2s as possible, if you do the same, how do you ensure maximum R2s? If you use a different combo, please share :)
Edit: I have to do this, over 900 replies! This is out of control! Awesome job guys, this post is a pretty comprehensive guide for swordbearers at this point!

Its safer to stick to R2's than the combo on hard mode because its easier to control the damage you put on crota and not enrage him to early

R1R1R2R1R1R2 then finish with R2! Then RUN! Or Blink Strike. Do this 4 Times and he's Dead. Mess up? and then just get through the ogres. Oh and Obviously he should be past half health after 1 Sword. My lowest was 45% or lower. So if you don't see that change strategy and go for 3 swords.

3 RT. it just keeps it consistent and helps you keep track of your damage so you don't hit enraged too soon or too late

(Titan warlock guide) Step 2: run to right or left rock and hide so you don't get hit have a Titan distract boomers on Croats right or left movement areas Step 3: once you see 3 rockets hit crota gain the trust of your team and just jump up and start slamming crota get at least 3 but if you can hit 4 do it Step 4: after this quickly use quick sword maneuver away onto rock and repeat step 3 step 5: crota will run right jump off rock and dodge thrall and run up left (do opposite if crota on left) Step 6: This is a more warlock Titan Guide so if your a hunter just add blink into the mix Disclaimer: From what I have seen with sword bearer that most sword bearers freak out when they jump up and crota is not down my fix for this would just to trust the power of your team and hold back just a little bit but if they say he down just run and slam. If you really ballsy like I am and end up dying in a fiery glory is once I see 3 rockets I just run and start smashing which is the scariest thing in world when you see crota this and is about to smash but then goes to kneeling formation. Swordbearer as a warlock and Titan is the scariest thing but is the funniest thing in the world May not be best guide but this is what I have collected from everything.

2 RepliesTo all sword bearers. I have a warlock and Titan. Lock is void/sun 32 and Titania almost full defender/striker is full lvl 31. I'd like to start attempting the sword. What's your tips on this. Yes I will be starting a hunter shortly but until then should I not try and learn or should I be attempting this now.

Our swordbearer got 19 R2's in 2 swords and we won before ogres. Just keep swinging and swing on his way down you can get 4-5 each down if you do it right.

I use RT (slam) 4 times invis 4 times. Second sword 3 and 2 orgres and then slam slam slam bumper slam. This is to kill him before oversoul and take perfect timing and practice!

13 RepliesRT, RT, RT, RB. And I am amazed with the number of people that don't push the left stick forwards when hitting crota. (Almost doubles speed in which you can hit)

I always took 13 hits on him with 2 swords and with 14 he enrages. But lately I have tried to combo it and took him 2 swords three times. So go invisible. Get on him and as soon as the rockets fly in I start hitting him with a combo and a smash afterwards.

If u have Titans put at least 3 orbs if not more up top. Rt4x and invis if Hunter rt super rt and leave. Should have him to about 1/4 health one more sword and bye bye Crota (on normal) Hard is almost the same but with more caution and more swords and less hits per sword.

2 Replies4 R2s and 4R2s the first session so 8x r2 (first sword). Second sword I do 4r2 then 3r2 to get safely to ogre room. Then it's usually 2 R2s then enrage and a last R2 maybe an extra . I don't mess with R1, the timing with the animations is never consistent. Doing 3R2s every time even works, it just makes the enrage part a little nerve wrecking
