I think it should be in a fireteam system, not a full fledged trading. Something like you can trade the rewards you got during/after an activity with the members of your fireteam, that way you still need to do the activities to get stuff. It'd be slightly more forgiving, and it'd much less painful watching your friend get their 5th Ghorn while you get your 5th Hawkmoon.

I had an idea that you could "lend" to people in your fireteam. Once the current event is finished, it pops back into your inventory. It would mean that after doing the same nightfall and raid again and again the same gun you would still be happy cuz you are more useful to raid teams. I agree, this has been my thoughts all along. Free trade will break the in game economy, but if you restrict it to your fireteam immediately after completing a raid or nightfall, when you get the good gear anyway, then it would work.
