I have 81 completions on Crotas end raid. Probably around 65 of them are on the hard raid. The biggest difference is the strategy used in each raid. The hard strategy works for both, however the normal strategy is a lot harder to do with the hard raid. I have beaten the raid with no the gallys at all. Hunger of crota is an excellent substitute. It's cluster Bomb hits right after detonation. If anything I feel it's almost better then gally on taking him down since gallys wolf pack rounds take a little bit to track the target, though gallys initial impact is a bit more. Yes the truth is a decent substitute the plus size is the tube holds 3 rockets instead of 2, however the negative by far out weighs the positive, no additional damage after the initial blast. Crotas shield regenerates pretty quickly and if you have an inexperienced team using the truth I guarantee fail. However if you have a good raid team you'll be fine because they will know someone with a primary must keep shooting him so his shield doesn't regenerate.

65 hard mode completions seems a little exaggerated.... Hard mode hasn't even been out a month.

Actually it doesn't when all you do is help people on the hard raid. I only did the normal raid until the hard one came out and only did it 10-15 times that's it. So you do not know anything that your talking about.

65 seems a bit excessive is all. I help out my buddies too but that's only like 3 times a week max? Don't get so defensive I'm sure your claim with no supporting evidence is perfectly legitimate.

You can check out my crota raid completions on my profile. Yes it's excessive but when you help out other people it adds up quickly. I don't need to argue with someone on the forums who has maybe 20 completions?

It doesn't really specify how many times you've completed a raid let alone CROTA hard mode. But, 287 raids is a LOT. So I'll take your word for it.

Alright, thank you for the detailed explanation of rocket launcher mechanics. I guess once a certain routine is found most of the beginner problems will not occur any more.

Yes correct my only suggestion is always make sure your raid team has good communication. Try and make it so your doing the raid with the same group every week, at least with a couple of the same people and others who are willing to listen. I would say complete the normal raid a couple times before attempting it on hard. It took us around 6 and a half hours the first time on hard to develop a strategy now it comes easy usually takes us around 3 hours to beat hard crota raid 3 times completely as well as do all 3 nightfalls. Just stick with the same group then when it's nightfall time split into two groups and just keep repeating this. We get everything done on Tuesdays so the rest of the time we can just mess around.
