When discussing the potential game breaking ability of the Bezerker in Borderlands 2 t to be able to dual wield any gun in the game, the developer responded by saying they focus on fun. That comes first. Everything else can come later. There is literally no reason for caps on marks, nightfalls, or raid attempts. These things are there to slow progress and decrease fun. Get rid of them, let me run the raid ten times a week. That's what the shit i paid for, and I should be allowed to do it if i want. Stop telling me I'm not playing your game right. If you were worried about us blowing through content too quickly, you should have made more of it. Not roadblock me at every turn from acquiring it.

The limits are to make the game more fun for casualss, they dont have to play much to keep up with the more hardcore players. Personally I would love for all caps to be removed, and drop rates decreased by a lot, and a trading system implemented. But, that'll never happen.

My opinion is the caps are an attempt to slow consumption of the product thus keeping players engaged for a longer period of time before replacing the game. The problem is there is not enough variety, content, etc. in Destiny to keep players actively engaged be they casual or otherwise. If anything it is the other way around but as you know a hardcore player will find away (like making and deleting new toons every week) - it is my hope they will remedy this but honestly I do not think it will happen.

And doing a raid 10 times WTF WAIT A WEEK, if they did that there would be no reason to do anything else and you would not be playing destiny if they made it perfect when it came out

They should let us play the game they way we want. If I want to play the raids 10 times a week, I should be able to.

That was a hyperbole. I, personally, would not do that. But as an example. Again, too little content means caps and roadblocks.

The reason they cap marks is so you don't grind out the marks to go from 20-30 in a few hours or days

I understand that. But why would they do that? Because marks are used to buy guns and armor. Thus, by capping it, they slow the game down immensely.

But if they did not cap it then you can get 1000 marks and get anything you want

Exactly. But to get the marks I still have to play the game. Its not like I log on and instantly receive 100 marks per second.
