All the change is going is making trigger spamming your handcannons less accurate, especially at long range so you can't out snipe a scout rifle across map.

If you can outsnipe a scout rifle at scout rifle range with a handcannon then it's because your aim was good enough, not because your weapon was too accurate.
-
Handcannons have the highest aim assist and most forgiving headshot hitboxing. In other words it's easier to hit headshots at range with a handcannon since you can snap target and as long as your crosshair is on the upper half of your target it'll probably give you that head shot. What this patch will do is decrease the range until damage falloff, and make follow up shots when pulling the trigger at maximum fire rate less accurate. How to accommodate? Actually aim the gun before you follow up. A hand cannon only has to fire twice a second to beat other primary's in raw dps. The weapon will still be the undeniable king of mid range trades.
-
Your an idiot had cannons aren't suppose to be able to shot that far. Aim has nothing to do with it
-
You're*. As in you're the idiot if you think a .50 caliber handgun cannot shoot as "far" as a .50 cal rifle. Effective range is pretty similar if you are using the correct round, how easy it is to hit a target at that range is the difference.
-
Ahahahaha, because calibre determines muzzle velocity amirite?!?
-
As an avid real-world shooter, I can say with complete certainty that this is an idiotic statement. Sorry, it just is.
-
Oh sorry I forgot this is real life
-
Don't worry. His "real-world" statement is entirely incorrect.
-
And besides, this is the far future, and guns are not exactly the same. There IS room to speculate am I right? I mean talking about rounds, you stick one big thing into the loading area (sorry for lack of terminology) of your gun instead of individual rounds (and that sure as hell doesn't look like a speed loader to me).

Edited by CarnivalLaw: 2/10/2015 4:50:22 AMUh. What? You should stop talking now. Please.
-
I did say using the proper round, which does affect muzzle velocity, correct?
-
There is NO "proper round" that would make any pistol out-shoot a same-caliber, same-quality rifle at medium- to long-range. None. Shut up about things you don't know.

Edited by ironBill: 2/10/2015 4:47:59 AMSpin of the bullet affects accuracy too. Longer the barrel, the more spin. There is a reason sniper rifles have long barrels.
