[u][b]Not another Necrochasm thread[/b][/u] I bet that's what you're thinking right? Good, because its true ;-). I received the Crux of Crota a couple of hours ago, and immediately upgraded my Eidolon Ally to the [b]Necrochasm[/b]. Amazing! Was over the moon to finally receive the rarest gun in the game at the moment (except the Fate of all Fools, I know this!), at such an early stage too. I cannot answer exactly if there are any prerequisites to make the material drop... It might be of no help, but I had equipped my Eidolon Ally and Glowhoo shader as we took Crota down, both of the items in question that people think are required to make the item drop. Could having both of them, or just the Glowhoo shader? (I'm thinking the Shader would give the highest chance, and I've only completed HM Crota twice now) [b][u]THE [i]MAIN[/i] REASON I AM WRITING THIS!!![/u][/b] This piece of crap gun need a BOOST!! I've just spend the last hour running strikes and although it fires out bullets like a nail gun on  steroids, the bullets inside feels more like neon polystyrene balls... The only decent thing on this gun is the explosions, and they're quite often enough to cause decent damage, but not enough.. Especially if you're against anything other than Thrall, Dregs and the lower level enemies, you're definitelly going to struggle to get that explosion unless you switch to your special, and then switch back to finish up the kill! The rate of fire is through the roof, and even with the stability perks, it is still a hard to control, along with that your bullets feeling like they do hardly any damage, and to top it off you find yourself spending more time reloading than actually firing. So for one of the best guns (supposedly) in the game, it surely feels under par compared to the Mythoclast, the Fatebringer and Abyss Defiant and what the hell, even the raid Pulse Rifle. The Necrochasm should be more like the Abyss Defiant in terms of what this Auto Rifle should be, and should definitely be in the pipeline for an upgrade otherwise I'm sure it will end up in the vault. I also doubt I will be the only one who puts it there either!
