HOW TO DO CROTAS END LEGIT

Edit: for everyone saying that you do not need to be near a totem for the ogres on the bridge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u4VKuMh5Ik&feature=youtu.be So today I was playing the raid on Crotas end and it was a little disheartening that not a single person other than myself knew how to legitimately do any part of the raid... And on top of that one had the nerve to say this raid was too easy without ever doing it legit. So for those who are interested in how to legit it and maybe want more of a challenge please read the fallowing. If I'm not busy I can even jump in and help you if you'd like on Xbox one. Area one Follow the path to each light until you reach the platform, while you are moving from light to light you will accumulate weight of darkness, this slows you down and takes away your ability to use your jump abilities. While around the lights your weight of darkness will decrease allowing you to run full speed but the lights only last a limited amount of time before turning red and exploding killing everyone near them so wait for everyone before triggering a light. You trigger it by getting near it. Once at the end of the path you will see a glowing plate on the floor stand in that to construct the bridge. Once there survive until bridge is constructed, there will be lots of thralls, a few knights, and at most 2 ogres. Keep using supers so that you have an endless sea of orbs at your disposal. Once bridge is formed run like hell and don't look back. tips try to keep every one alive. Hunters can go invis to get revives and sneak out of tricky situations. 2 warlocks with solar grenades and self rez can hold one area indefinitely by using self rez when dead and spamming the aoe grenade to keep thralls away while shooting them to produce orbs for your friends super. area 2 At least One person needs to stand on the center plate to construct the bridge, to the left and right of the center plate are totems. You need to have at least one person standing under these totems for as long as there is a person on the center plate. If there is no one on a totem while some one is standing on the center plate then the totem will turn red, destroy your team and wipe your supers. OK so now once the bridge has been constructed only the person bearing the sword can cross it without dying. So after the bridge is fully formed kill the sword barer, pick up his sword and run across the bridge. On the other side of the bridge you will see a big blue bastard (the gate keeper) every time you kill a sword barer one of these spawns, they can only be damaged by a sword so once you get across it is very important you kill this creature quickly before your sword disappears. Now after the first person is across you want to get two more people across to make a total of three on each side after three have crossed the three on home side (the side you started on) all get off their plates and survive. It now falls on the three on away side to build the bridge in the same way it was done on home side. After the bridge is constructed the people on home side kill the swordbearer grab the sword and run across as before, make sure to kill the big blue bastard every time. Once the fourth person has crossed a witch and two knights will spawn on the left side so send the fourth to the the left to help out who ever you have on that totem, after the fifth person crosses you will only have a few minutes to get the sixth across before the ogres spawn. You will know they are about to spawn when a witch spawns in the middle of the far side. OGRE TIME!! Once ogre time hits you no longer have to stand on middle plate, but left or right totem still need to be held. While holding those totems kill the ogres and BOOM!!! second section complete! Third section This part is the hallway. All you need to do here to progress is kill the shriekers to take down the force field and move on. There is a secrete chest behind a time locked door, so if you get to the door before it closes only one person needs to make it threw the door and it will open back up for everyone. Once you are ready jump in the hole. part four!! The part every one skips... OK so I will be sharing my strat for this part. Take a look at who has what weapons. You want an even split of ghorns/hungers and ib/bh on both teams of three. Two people from one team will go to the boomer tower on the left and the third person will quickly rub into left side, make a quick circle around the pillar to draw out the witch, run back out and join his squad mates in the tower, the other team will do same thing on the right side. DURING THIS TIME IT IS BEST NOT TO GET HIT OR TO HIT ANYTHING TO HELP PROLONG THE TIME IT TAKES FOR THE DEATH SINGER TO START HER SONG after the witch comes out kill her, on both sides. After both witches are dead one person with rockets from each team goes into their side and kills the shrieker (2 rockets should do it) then runs back out to the tower. After the shriekers are dead there are two ways you can do this from here. 1. Everyone runs in and tries to kill the death singer as quickly as possible 2. Pick off adds from the towers untill the screen starts flashing red when this happens you only have 20 seconds to kill the death singer but she takes additional damage and she does not move!!. After you have killed her you want to gtfo of that room and back to the towers. From there clear out the rest of mobs until you see the new mission indicated. final boss CONGRATULATIONS!!! you are at crota and didn't have to cheat yet! To do this part legit there are dozens of strats. I will share the simplest of mine. So after everyone has stood round the crystal and both halls have been cleared out the person with the most health should run out and grab the chalice to bring back to those that need it. Everyone who is not that person should be heading left. You will need a designated boomer killer (preferable some one with ice breaker) their job will be to kill boomers and call out when they spawn.) You will need a designated sword runner (highest lvl) their job will be to hit crota with the sword and when not doing that to help out every one else. Once chalice is back make sure your boomer patroll man is ready and then everyone else kill sword barer as fast as possible. Sword runner needs to have chalice at this point. Once swordbearer is dead the runner picks up the sword and goes to the rocks to the left of crotas stage, between crotas stage and left boomer tower. At this point every one (except boomer patrol) is shooting crota when crota is about to drop down let your sword man know to jump up and begin the assault. After he hits him a few times he heads back to the rock. Once crota stands back up count to three and have everyone hit him again with everything they got to drop him quickly (but boomer patrol stays on boomer patrol) once he is going down again let your sword man know to jump up and wreck house. After he hits a few times sword man should jump off and come back to the team, crota will run to the right. Once crota starts heading back to mid kill swordbearer again and repeat the process. If you are too slow in killing the swordbearer you may only get one swordbearer before ogres spawn, you can tell if this is true when the A.I. for the thralls become more aggressive and run into your room. After the second sword everyone (including boomer patrol) needs to run out of the room take a sharp right into the lower middle then retreat threw the corridor to the right into the round room with the pool in the middle. ITS OGRE TIME!!. two ogres will spawn and come to that middle open area, kill them from the room you are in. After they are dead if crota is not back in mid then he will be on left, so you want to run straight up and too your right. Watch out for boomers and explosive thralls. Run back into the building you have spent most the fight in. You want to enter on your right and fight your way back to the left side. Once back to your spot repeat the battle strat until crota is dead. You can get threw about 5 swords before he enrages. After that your dead. Every 2 swords ogres spawn. And that's that. You have now done the raid legit. Hope this helps some people. Feel free to add input. death singer alternate Credit to noob For Deathsinger I've found it easier if everyone goes to one side after the shriekers die and clear out adds on that side.  DPS her from that side (tracking rockets preferably) until the liturgy starts, at which point have one or two people with black hammer or ice breaker just continuously snipe her since she won't move during this time and it's easy to get the white nail chains off.  A single hammer can drop her from near full in the 20 seconds of liturgy, but it's best for everyone that has one to snipe her down while a couple guys make sure they don't get wrecked by any knights that are left. Found this to be the easiest rather than trying to clear two sides of adds or Yolo swagging it into the deathsinger room.

 • I've found that using the center strategy is the best for Crota. One person stays left and takes care of Boomers with Ice Breaker. Literally the only thing they do is kill Boomers, they can pot shot an Icebreaker shot on Crota too if there are no Boomers. The rest of the group goes down to the middle with the chalice holder standing near the stairs, the swordbearer will literally beeline towards the stairs and while the chalice holder backs up while firing everyone opens fire on swordbearer. As the sword holder is making his first jump on the platform where the chalice was, everyone DPS's on Crota, by the time he makes the jump up to Crota, Crota should be kneeling or starting the kneeling animation. Swordbearer takes 3-4 heavy hits on Crota, depending on when he got there in Crota's animation, and then heads to the rock on the left. When Crota is ready to be hit on, drop him again, at 10%, swordbearer goes back to Crota and again hits him 2-4 times depending on if sword disappears or Crota animation. If you have a 32 on sword, you likely won't see an Ogre, if you do get Ogres, everyone but one is already in the middle...guy on Boomer duty needs to get to middle if you get Ogres obviously. This has always seemed to work better than left strategy because the swordbearer will always come run to you and not play hide and seek behind poles or running back into the middle of the lower area.
