My friends left me in the dust

So for a while now I have seen people make accounts with three of the same character and I never thought it really bothered me. I mean rng is rng so it's a good strat to try and make the rng in your favor. I personally decided to make one of each class to try and get the most out of my destiny experience and now have a 31 main hunt (had full vog armor), a 27 Titan (least played but cryptarch had a secret crush and gave my warlock gifts), and a 24 warlock (the rng hard life is real). Now my friends like to go out and buy other games and always just played destiny when they had nothing better to do. Me with my low income really only had destiny which is why I devoted so much time to it. We would run the raids together, do the nightfalls, go bounty crazy, and in the end all our mains would really be at about the same level. Sure I had a few more exotics than them from my other two characters but they had enough to keep up just fine. Well last week I went on vacation with my family and while I was away it turns out that three of them created new characters of the same class and got them up to 20 real fast. Then they just switched over all their 31 gear to the 20s and have since run multiple of each raid since I have been gone. It was that point that kind of bothered me. We were all the same levels and now I'm left out of their other raid attempts unless I level up my other to classes like crazy which will take me a lot of effort. I guess I had kind of hoped some of them would create other characters someday and then we could work on leveling our 20 some level characters together but their way skips that completely. In the end the multiple of the same class idea didn't bother me until it hit close to me. I'd like to think that it's fine to just ignore it but their chance of getting full raid gear and getting to level 32 are a lot higher than mine now. And not only that but as soon as they hit that level they are almost certainly gonna stop playing just as they had when they hit lvl 30. They never even wanted to try hard raid in vog so why try hard Crotas. It will most definitely reduce the playtime before we reach the end together. Anyways I guess that's it. I was wondering what you guys think. I mean this situation definitely does not make me hate people with multiple of the same classes but it does make me sad that my friends chose to go down that path Edit: thanks for the responses guys (even that one…) I tend to find online ppl to play with when I'm alone and j have to say some of the times spent with them have been better than those with my friends. Ps.I write sentimentally… its wierd. I wish I could stop

  • I think you just need to find some real friends who are actually committed to the game. I've had similar situations like yours which is why I tend to play solo in destiny although i don't like to. But ya you need to find some better friends than those imo...
