So I came up with an idea with my wife. Why not make a (like HALO) swords team/ffa slayer variant. All gaurdians start with swords. Power hits are one hit kill, melee is two hit kill. You could incorporate KotH type gameplay or standard slayer. The game type could be like salvage where it randomly appears on the weekends because lets be honest... literally everyone would play this to grind gear and marks because it would be so dramatically different. Sword clashes would need to be incorporated into the game causing gaurdian shields to deplete to allow for the next hit regardless of type to kill soneone in the duel. Power strikes should take the place of grenades to prevent spam on control points or in duels. Multiple medals could be added. Run 'em Through - 5 kill streak, Blades of Fury - Exterminate whole team, Master Duelest - Win 3 duels in a match. That's my general idea inspired by Crota coming. We could also throw a time sensitive sword (like found in PvE during blades of Crota) into normal multiplayer as a halfway point spawned weapon, which might help turn the tides of battle.
