bungie: quit lying telling me I will get a Legendary when I don't
Destiny devs / Bungie keeps sending out tweets and updates claiming that beating this or that strike, or doing the new weekly heroic will give you Legendaries: see tweet from today:

Just stop. Either fix the engram drops so this is true, or stop saying this. It is incredibly frustrating. Every time I think your newest hotfix maybe made it a little easier to get a Legendary engram from the grind on heroic strikes with hard modifiers because of these posts, I spent another 12 hrs without a single purple drop.
There is a disconnect from your "mouthpiece" on the forums and twitter and the reality the developers make. Sync up and you will have a lot less people complaining because you are not setting up false expectations.

This does have to be looked at. Some are showered in legendary drops while others haven't seen one in 3 weeks, why? Rng just seems way off when it comes to difficulties and strike rewards.

Wow. This is why I do not post in forums. I am trying to give Bungie feedback to say "hey you seem to be making misleading statements that is frustrating" I have been insulted in various ways, accused of bad game play or not understanding the randomness of engram drops and just about everything posted in this thread NOT related to Bungie making statements on their news and twitter that seem misleading. People wonder why the gaming community has a bad rep for trolls. Why new members are reluctant to become involved. This is why. I will be deleting my destiny app and never returning to these forums. For the three people who were respectful and topical, thank you. I appreciate knowing pockets of real humans exist. For the rest: Congratulations, you are the stereotypes everyone hates. I hope those lazy insults and passive anger you direct to strangers helps you sleep at night.

Legendary stuff always happen to people who don't care or play the game for fun all of my chars are maxed on legendaries just keep playing and stop worrying about drops

They aren't talking about drops genius You usually get a legendary gun or some shards at the end Shards are legendary So is energy

Let me clarify for people who did not get my first post. I know it is possible to get legendaries. I understand it is all a chance/lottery/random. I don't have a problem with that system by itself. It is when Bungie comes out and says "come and play this and get REWARDED with legendary gear" That is my problem. Calling it a "reward" like in the twitter message above makes it sound like... Well, an award. Not a lottery. Not random chance. My issue with Bungie making statements like the one above it that it makes it sound far more sure or like your chances are significantly higher when you do certain activities and as far as I can tell there is no increased chance at all. Sitting in front of a spawn cave or doing a weekly heroic has the same chances of getting a purple engram drop. Bungie needs to quit making statements acting like it is otherwise.

Since the cave farm fix ive only really ever gotten greens and the odd blues. A friend on the other hand gets no end of purples drop :|

Got 6 strange coins from nightfall this week. Was all like: -_- "I just got the reward for lvl 24 heroic on lvl 28 nightfall... -blam!- you game."
