(This may be already threaded so i apologize if so)
When exploring / Farming around the spawns seemed so predicable that it was the first thing I would see dulling an amazing game mode.
I want player feedback on concepts to improve this method/idea. Here is mine, love it, hate it, let's help build destiny CONSTRUCTIVELY
Semi randomized spawn flooding.
The idea came to me when I found a good area that I could kill a good amount of fallen/hive for my current players rank.
I'd been "farming"/mission hunting for 20 minutes when the game decided it needed to kill the two fire teams off. Without warning the levels began to increase, the armor, the type of enemy's changed, and each spawn point began flooding enemy's almost at 5 second intervals among 5 different close spawns. Going from 6-8 lvl to 11's with full armor.
Our two highly equipped fire teams went from controlling the game easily, to desperation to survive. It was as action packed as a neck and neck iron banner game. The moment the last member died. They stopped flood spawning and resumed back to level 6-8's
Never happened again. And I tried everything I could.
If this was entailed to open world play randomly. It would toss in a great emotional excitement surge to exploration mode. That sprinkled with constant roaming groups rather than ALL stationary situations, would make for a more interactive MMO of "hide and seek" for lower levels, and "impossible odds" for someone who fancy a go.
Your turn to add your thoughts. Let em rip
And cheers Bungie- I'd happily put in my resume for concept gameplay & design.

I saw an earlier suggestion that nighttime could be connected to making enemies higher leveled.
