I doubt loot chest locations will be changed for the full game, because it delivers an even amount over time. The concept should hopefully still apply :)

Edited by Mandingo: 7/27/2014 4:59:41 AM
because it delivers an even amount over time
Doing a 20-30 minutes strike = 200 Glimmer + 2 Green items 60 minutes chest hunt = 10k Glimmer u suck in math. Increase the Glimmer drop from mobs + strike. If not, remove that shit I wanna play Destiny, not a Pirates in Space loot chest simulator , this isn't a farming mechanic , it is just dumb. If mobs doesn't drop glimmer, strike isn't rewarding, looting chest the only way to get glimmer, this game will die for the same reason as Diablo 3 :)

Edited by Havatti: 7/27/2014 5:08:00 AMThen perhaps playing Strike with Ether seeds isn't your best idea then if you're only getting 200 glimmer and two green items. To Farm is to stay in a location and take advantage of what it has to offer resource wise. Some people will want to experience the Strike Game mode, others will want to spend time getting a lot of glimmer to purchase items. A level 6 Strike mission was not designed to help you cash in. It's not PayDay 2. I agree that there should be some changes to the money system, but I'm sure that's how Bungie intends to control the market and make certain items a hassle to work for.

ya i know that, that Ether seed.... 10 minutes.... Strike are worthless to do, no progress, no reward, the Alpha we had all that, we had too much Glimmer / mobs but still. Now people will simply rush down objectives, skipping mobs, chest hunt ... zzz

Exactly. But praise be to Bungie for the statement "95% of the game will be played at max level." The fact that you need to work for gear that will put you HIGHER than level 20 virtually so you can compete with certain mobs is a fantastic idea. So hopefully, we can see some more glimmer in the higher levels. Especially since walking into the [??] zones has ONLY unique enemies, i.e. "Hallowed Knights." So that might be the balance and reward system for more difficult enemies at higher level tiers.

Edited by Mandingo: 7/27/2014 1:08:45 PMwell the question is ... are u gonna do that farm thing at the start of the game to have better items when u decode your stuff... hmmm + u earn EXP

Personally, I think bounties are going to get me my main source of EXP, considering that it's about 5000+ per bounty. Like I said, the system is definitely flawed at the early levels, this video was just detailing a method to get glimmer for those who wanted to take an explorative approach.
