Pre-order Dilemma

Hey future Guardians! I'm sure everybody in the community was just as excited as me when the Destiny beta was announced however, this announcement has brought with it a very difficult question: do I pre-order now? The reason I'm contemplating not pre-ordering is that I intend to purchase the PS4 bundle edition when it is available. Now, I could just pre-order now, get a beta code, and then switch my order to a PS4 bundle when it is released but my problem would be I wouldn't have the correct system to play on. I won't buy a PS4 at launch so I would be stuck having my first experience with Destiny on my dated 360. I want my Destiny experience to be the best possible one I can get, so the 360 version isn't even an option for me. I wonder if I don't participate in the beta if I will be to far behind the masses and feel almost left out or forgotten. Do you think this will be a big issue? Or do you think that getting the game on launch day won't really be a problem? If anyone out there could give me any possible solutions it would be great! Also let me know if you're going through the same problem and maybe we could bounce some ideas off each other in the comments. Your syrup covered pall, -Waffle

  • Usually there is no carry over of stats from the beta to final version so that shouldn't matter. but you might miss out on some unlockables if the offer anything for participating in the beta like a title or something

    • I am going to pre-order it ASAP now that the beta is announced. Only problem is I'm not 100 percent sure if I'll have upgraded to next gen by the time the beta rolls out.

    • So you ONLY want to play the Beta on a Next Gen system, but you won't buy a Next Gen system before the Beta comes out? Doesn't sound like a problem with a solution. It sounds like a choice you're making.

      • Unless you plan on getting a PS4 prior to getting the PS4 Destiny bundle, I don't see how you'll be able to play the beta on anything other than your 360 (assuming you're not planning on buying the Xbox One). I would think you won't get the PS4 Destiny bundle until Destiny's release date. Your options are to either play the beta on 360, buy a regular PS4 between launch and the beta window and play the beta on that, or to not participate in the beta at all. That's the only way I see this working out. Sorry bud :/

      • Sorry dude, it seems like you're out of luck if you're waiting to buy a PS4 until spring 2014.
