As some of you may know I made my debut here earlier this week. I have made a few posts and commented on various topics over the past few days. Seemingly there has been a number of members of the community did not appreciate or perhaps identify with my Whale puns and other Cetacean antics. Thusly I have been muted by them, which is fine, I accept that Whale humor is not for everyone, but here is what I can't make sense of. After someone mutes me why do their posts appear hidden? From what I understood the person being muted would have no indication that they had been muted, but as I navigate the forums I can clearly see who all has muted me just by opening the hidden post. Is this intentional?
I feel like it defeats the porpoise.

Does no one hold the answers I seek? I have only just come to this whalization about the muting system, so I assume no has ever muted me until recently. Going from what I have seen explained in the past, people acted like there was no real way to tail if you were muted, unless the person straight up told you.

Muted, because apparently everyone else also did, so you made an Alt.
