Edited by Commander Tempu: 3/30/2013 2:08:11 PMIn the Halo 2 VidDoc Disk i have and stuff i seen he is a really laid back guy who wants to have fun making games and Makes sure every one else is having fun doing it as well. He makes games 110% and uses team work, to inspire not only him self but his friends to make the games. Every one loves as much as he is a fan thus loves it. Hes a very smart, modest man who sees more than just employees but a family at Bungie . Its guys like him that make the world better. Who think about just a group of people who not only want to make games but its not just him getting the credit its every one. Some reason there is this whole Captain of the ship image so many are trying to push today. But then again its guys like him that make sure the crew gets showcased as well. We need more like him even if he is shy. Nothing wrong with being a private person. I did this from all body language and simple observation. Would be bad at my job if i did less. Visual cues give me the essence of the person as well as the intent. Give me five mins with some one and blam! :P...Guess all them years of doing security did pay off.

He's an ordinary dude, and I think that's the image he tries to portray. If we judge him as "successful" and "special" then we separate him from the rest of us, the population. If we see everyone's creative abilities as special, then we can really start to create a "family" environment like Bungie has. Jason Jones isn't "cool" he's normal, and that's the coolest thing about him.
-
He's pretty awesome, it's crazy to see how he's aged. This is going off of the video collection from the Halo 2 Legendary Edition. You should check it out if it's still on Youtube.

Why is there no "ice cold" option? Alright alright alright alright alright...
-
Jason is a pretty cool guy. I think it was nice of Bungie to rename Jason as "John" in his biography, Halo, so people didn't think he was self-obsessed.
-
From what I know of him, he is super cool. He founded bungie and leads bungie in every project they do. He was the project lead on halo and contributed a lot in the original halo combat evolved. I really want to meet him. In my opinion, he is on my top ten of game developing legends. Another thing about him though is that he is camera shy according to joe staten and he is really quiet, which is awkward for someone who is such a strong leader and creative genius.

I'm going to get an autograph from that man one day.

Read this Polygon article on Bungie. It mentions Jason Jones. Good stuff http://www.polygon.com/features/2013/1/24/3908184/heart-of-bungie-destiny-jason-jones-marty-odonnell-halo#sect-seven
Jason Jones doesn't want to be famous. Jones is everything. He is easily the heart and soul of this company. One of its founders, the man who co-founded Bungie and whose computer compiled the code for almost every game Bungie ever released. Yet he has almost never given an interview. We had asked, before getting on the plane, to see Jones. We'd been promised it might happen. We took this as a yes, because it always is. And yet, when we arrive and see the schedule ... where's Jason Jones? We're told no one is even sure if he's in the building. We're told that even if he is in the building, there's no guarantee he'll see us. We're told, incredibly, he's shy. Cripplingly shy. And then we're told something we finally believe: Jason Jones doesn't want to be famous. We're standing in the studio that, 22 years ago, Jason Jones coughed into life. We're talking to people Jones helped hire, train and forge into a team capable of turning the world of games on its axis. We're surrounded by artifacts of the genius and artistry of the code Jason Jones wrote. His influence is literally all around us. He even comes up, repeatedly in interviews. And this is what clinches it for us. When Chris Butcher says that, of all the things that get Jones' goat, his rarest, most acute annoyance is reserved for the accolades heaped on Marty O'Donnell, easily the most singularly identifiable member of the team, this is when it clicks into place: Jones is a communist. Not, perhaps, in the McCarthy sense, but Jason Jones is a man who believes in team above all else, and that spirit has infused everything he's touched. And in interviewing the team he has helped build, we've come to know him better than if we'd shared a meal. Jones is not simply the founder of Bungie; he is also its tribal leader.
He's super cool.

When I interviewed at Bungie, they locked me in a conference room with Jason Jones for three hours and told me if I made it out alive, I was hired.
-
He's hilarious.

Edited by Verachi: 3/29/2013 2:18:18 AMI know he is a jerk, he hates keyboards!!! BURN HIM! BuRn him with FIRE!

More and more we get to see how much of a Pioneer he his to Gaming. With the Halo Era over, Destiny just proves once again Jason Jones is Key to Bungie's never ending success and innovation

Edited by Setter: 3/28/2013 2:07:54 PMI think JJ is a cool and funny guy from way I've seen in O Brave New World and other Bungie vidocs. I have also heard he is a little media shy which is why we don't see or here too much from him. But like I said he seems like a cool and funny guy.
-
Good lord, I keep thinking people are referring to the Daily Show correspondent whenever they use that name...
-
Edited by WickedNavajo: 3/28/2013 4:15:18 AMWell he kind of co-founded Bungie, so I think he generates an entire 1/7 (14.2857%) of the awesomeness produced by Bungie every day. And they produce a lot of awesomeness.
-
Edited by Arbiter 739: 3/28/2013 3:17:27 AMPretty damn sweet for sure, but I can't judge his awesomeness on the "cool scale".
-
The Zuckerberg of gaming. But better.
-
Edited by MastaSin: 3/28/2013 12:52:56 AMJason Jones is the spirit and coolness of Bungie.
-
You never see him.. I think Marty is more popular than him.. Heck Marty is probably the most well known person at bungie.
-
Teh king of teh koolz.
-
Edited by Leukocyte: 3/27/2013 11:44:38 PMWell I think he would be a very cool guy, I'd buy the guy lunch if I ever met him. We don't see much of him though.
-
