Drop rate forb crimson shells was too low.

Results:
* 11/02/2016 09:18 CET, the drop rate is still about 3.8 % for this data set for any ghost (23600 games played, 902 ghosts dropped).
* Only 44 respondants reported getting a 320 ghost so far (~0.18% chance for a ghost to drop and to have it be 320=44/23600. 0.18% is slightly less than one chance in five hundred).
* You can see live updating results in the link here (i probably won't manually update this post again though) : https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-GJQGQKBQ/. About 400 more people have responded since the summary above.
Conclusion and feedback : In my opinion the drop rates of this event are going to frustrate people a lot since it was advertised as a chance to get a 320 ghost. If you want a 320, youre going to need to play a LOT of games. A better design for this event IMO would be to give us a ghost guaranteed better than the best one we have on completion of the weekly bounty. Or even just guarantee a 320 ghost on completion of the weekly bounty if character light >= 310.
Edit: BUNGIE JUST ANNOUNCED FREE 320 GHOST FOR EVERYONE WITH 7+ LEGIT GAMES. YAY :)

YAY :)[/quote] Give one ghost shell per account is nice but for a company the tells us that "they want to respect our time" is silly the drop rates should have been better to start with. Second the ghost we will get on the 23 should be per character with 7 games played not per account. This would not be game breaking and would truly respect our time. On the bright side I am very happy Bungie addressed this issue asap, plz keep this kind of dialog open.

75+ games. All bounties complete on 3 characters. 4 shaders. 6 crucible weapons with bad rolls. NO GHOSTS!!

bump bungie plz fix & extend crimson doubles jot fair i have to work all weekend by the time you guys fix the drop rates like srl was good its not fair i have played for over 45 hours worth between my two gamertags & gotten only 1 sugar shell & zero pink ghosts all i want is the pink ghost :( seriously bungie!!!! wtf

Another idea could be to have a quest that is longer than one step, maybe takes a few days to complete and rewarded with a 320 ghost at the end.

I have won 33 matches so far in crimson doubles i have had 5 ghosts drop across all 3 characters. All the ghosts are a range from 297 to 307.. 4 crimsons shells. And one sugary shell that looks like a choc shell? And a whole two shaders that look like shaders that are available already..? So hot!! Best Loot drop so fat has been sparrow racing??? Lol bungie NICE Rewards.. Can u stop insulting the people who actually play the game?

Edited by CitrusTheNile: 2/12/2016 4:37:26 PMConsidering how big the loot table is for the rewards, they need to up the drop rate. Sure if there was only 15 items in the loot table and the drop rate was 0.5%, that might be doable, but not 0.18% with as large of loot table as their currently is.

8 RepliesMy friend has completed event on all three characters and done over 40 matches not one ghost drop, I have done two characters and over 25 matches and also no ghost drops, what is the point in winning matches when you get nothing from the rewards.

4 RepliesIf you get it you get it if you don't then you don't. Remember it's a loot based shooter, and the harsh reality is... Not everyone will get it. If you don't buy a ticket you can't win the raffle. Also a lot of people grinded in year 1 to get Gjallarhorn with no luck and when Xur finally sold it, it was useless 2 weeks later. In short keep playing for a chance to get one, if you don't get one its not the end of the world.

A buddy of mine got two 320's in three matches on the first day. A nether one got a 319 on his 15th match. Me though I got my first ghost after 3 days of grinding at 314. My lowest ghost on my toons is 315.

300 ghost shell for my titan. None for hunter. None for Warlock. Personally? I'm all for global stat's, but the 320 will drop after prolonged exposure to the playlist. I'll just keep playing because no one knows the RNG formula.

A drop rate that isn't even 5 percent. Why? Why make an event that is even more limited then SRL? At least SRL you could rank up, do new bounties every day. Doubles is just a fancy distraction. To me this event is a failure. It's not even about a 320 ghost. The drop rate on all ghost is ridiculously low. A 300 ghost isn't end game content. Why make it so low for something that has no value besides collecting and marks?

I'm cool with them being rare, but the chance should increase for people who are willing to do a ton of matches.

Bump, it's ridiculous how little anything drops. I don't want legendary engrams that turn into 290 gear, increase the ghost chance you stingey gits!!
