House Of Wolves Was Superior To The Taken King DLC
Besides the instant kill meta of Thorn & TLW in Pvp HOW was the best time in destiny . 2 Raids , POE , Weapon Reforging , Etheric Light to upgrade all Legendary Weapons & Gear , You could wear any class item and it wouldn't effect your level .. Trials Of Osiris Came out .. Year 1 exotics are superior to Year 2 The Nightfall actually was useful , you could solo a NF much easier ,The Weekly heroic strike , etc

5 RepliesWho agrees with this!!! That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!! Taken King has 10 times the amount of story missions, a lot more exoctics, and a somewhat complicated raid.

The only thing I like about ttk is the new iron banner gear, because I hated the HoW IB gear with a passion

1 ReplyI personally think both the The Taken King and House of Wolves did a lot of things I liked and liked a lot. Granted they both had their setbacks, ( and I still think Infusion unintentionally and/or undoing what House of Wolves Ascension system was a mistake.) I know alotta people hated PoE, but I personally enjoyed it...even if it got pretty frustrating at times. For me the Taken King was one step forward and one-and-a-half-steps back. There was a lot I enjoyed, but it was soured by the fact that BUNGIE left so much behind after they made to effort to make everything relevant in House of Wolves. Also, from my experience, the RNG in HoW was a lot more lenient and I enjoyed when Xur came every week. Nowadays when Xur comes...I often don't bother.

Nope, only things wolves did right was etheric light and trials. If we could infuse year 1 gear to year 2 stats then the taken king would blow house of wolves out of the water.

Agreed except POE was the biggest POS Bunghole EVER did for endgame content.

I stopped playing during PoE. Etheric light only dropped from content that required a fireteam. There was no matchmaking for pve content that dropped the etheric light you required to progress. PoE would have been more popular with matchmaking. You simply could not progress without joining a fireteam. Later Bungie added etheric light drops as Ironbanner rewards. This is the only reason I came back. I refuse wasting 20 minutes on a LFG site to group up with strangers, when matchmaking could group me with strangers in less than a minute. Even to this day, nightfall does not have matchmaking. Soloing nightfall is not worth it or viable with most strikes.

I disagree in every way. The only thing which was better was etheric light making all content relevant again

The leveling system was the best, not so much for end game content but still good. Now we have this triple RNG system that's complete garbage, you're very lucky if got everything you wanted in a timely manner.

I agree... Dont get me wrong, I love TTK. But HoW was better as far as pve diversity in armor and things to do. I loved that etheric light could bring up any armor. I still havent got rid of my year 1 raid/ prison sets. I think they looked far superior to the current raid armor( with the exception of the warlock raid armor... it looks really sweet IMO)

This is how bad TTK is. I HATED HoW because I hated PoE AND Trials. I quit for almost 2 months during HoW because I got sick of playing crap I didn't enjoy before I came back to help my team mates earn their Laurea Prima Emblems. Even with that said, I still had to vote that HoW was better.
