New and confused..
So I just got back to playing destiny and I haven't touched that game in 7 months, I just want to know how this light/ damage system works. All my weapons are 150, 160 damage same with my armour, what do I do to increase them? Are they useless now and I have to get the year 2 version of the exotic?

Year ones don't do anything in year two activities. They preform the same in year one activities. Engrams and items usually drop slightly higher than what you have on until you hit about 290, so always have the highest level stuff on when decrypting engrams

2 RepliesYes. Year 1 weapons and armor are basically useless. You cannot increase the level of Year 1 items. The only way to increase your Light Level is to acquire new weapons and armor. You need to buy Year 2 versions of your exotics if you want to use them.
