Greetings guardians,
I've seen a lot of posts where people shame/praise people for their cumulative K/D stats.
While that's all well and good, for many players it's just not a good indicator of skill. Some players used to suck when the game first came out and took a while to improve. Some are great with teams and lackluster with randoms due to play style. Some have had their go-to weapons/armor/subclass nerfed or buffed, which can dramatically affect gameplay in the short term. Etc., etc...
So I think Destiny should have a moving average K/D stat, tracking the last 100 or so matches per game type. That way if you want to know how good you are right now, you can get a pretty accurate idea of that. I know my 1.12 K/D for Control is probably fairly close. But I bet it would be more like 1.3 on a moving average by now.
What do you guys think?

Edited by NYDIBS: 1/7/2016 4:05:44 AMthe app does this your control k/d over the last 30 days is 1.1, and over the last 7 is 1.2 everybody likes to think they improved so much, but your overall k/d is a very good indicator if you care so much about your k/for just delete your character like everyone else

This sounds like a very accurate way to depict recent ability.

Destiny tracker does this and the bungie app will give your weekly k/d. Try looking before you post.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Destiny tracker actually does show you recent kdr's.
