RNGesus didn't answer your prayers? You started Lost To Light five minutes before reset? You work 18 hour shifts when Paradox is available so you don't have time to do it?
Tough.
There are folks who grind harder than strippers on payday weekend and can't get above 315. If you're one of them, this isn't about you. Your rage is warranted. Flame on.
If you're a casual player, please understand that WE won't have what THEY, the grinders, have unless we also grind.
If you suck, get better. Play more until you suck less. Then play some more. If you find that you still suck at something particular, then it ain't for you. (I will likely never get to hold a Chaperone because I am not good at crucible and I accept my fate) (I'll probably not be killing Oryx on hard any time soon either lol).
This game is fun. And it is, in fact, a good game. When it frustrates me, I do something else. Then, I come back because I'm bored with whatever else I've started to do.
Don't make Destiny your life. Turns out she can be a bitch, too.

Bungie needs to focus more on keep the dedicated player base (like myself) through a smooth and efficient rewards system, rather than trying to draw new players with a lame ass refer-a-friend program. The best source of new players will be happy players currently enjoying this game. If you search about Destiny in the last two weeks there are so many videos and posts about this game "dying." While I think that's an exaggeration, I can say that as a dedicated player I am getting burned out grinding the same shit all the time and getting diminishing returns. Case in point: my Kingsfall normal mode last night netted me a few 300 weapons and one 305 primary while playing with a 308 Titan. Last week I ran the Hard Mode first, but got similarly lame reward (I was told it was because I should clear Normal first, then go to Hard to maximize rewards - but another friend said this isn't true). It's hard enough to get a decent group together to run the Raid, then take at least an hour or two to finish it, and I get drops below my light level - WTF!?! I love this game - but I'm starting to feel that it's becoming a waste of my time to sink so many hours into it unless they can fix the loot system. Not hard to do ... if I'm 308 then at least 40 to 50% of my Raid loot should drop at or above my light level. Currently it's coming in at like 15% - not acceptable. What have you guys seen sucking your time on this game? What should be changed?

While I agree with the final message of this, as I am a casual gamer myself, I also argue that the system bungie has in place for the time table of when certain missions are open is a little bit broken. I can only ever play on weekends and have yet to see either the mission for Black Spindle or No Time to Explain available in the Daily Heroic. Maybe I missed one, but this far I don't think I have. I only hope that going forward destiny tries to acknowledge this, as it does seem a bit strange that the missions for this level of loot haven't been available on the weekends. While I know trials is on the weekends and that could explain it it still doesn't make much sense to me, since I am not a big PvP guy and Trials has never been something I was interested in, since I find the Crucible competitive enough already

acutally the mayhem rumble this week makes it pretty easy to do the chaperone bounty

Everything well said from my point of view. In fact, I'm a casual and I feel perfectly comfortable with my scrubby 297 light. Maybe one day I will reach 300 but I don't think the game will become funnier or my dick bigger. So who cares. In the meanwhile I enjoy collecting legendaries and exoctics and having fun with the strike playlist in the few minutes I have to play each week. Have a good one everyone.

Amazing post made all the better by the complete absence of entitled fgts.

I cant play all the time, and i dont care, but its the people in lfg when i want to run a raid on a weekend, i cant because i havent done enough raids to be high enough light for alot of people on hard, im 308. Thats what winds me up, its not the games fault its the elitests

"She BLAMED the game"

Totally agree. There should be content for those who are really good at the game or want to put the extra grind in. Plenty of games do it. The problem is, that when the content to start with is so small, people are going to gripe about the things they cannot get more often.

This is... This is fantastic.

Completely agree man
-
I totally agree

Killer title, even better post. Agree 100%. It's a video game. If you aren't having fun, play differently or play something else.
