I am one of those adult dad's that cannot commit 6-8 hours in one block to learn the raid mechanics. I don't want or expect to be carried and would love to be in a group of others new to the raid.
Is there a way to get to boss checkpoints, quit for the night, then come back to the raid where everyone left off without having to clear adds/trash or re-do ship jumping puzzles?
I know that in progress missions seem to bring you back to checkpoints ever after days have passed, just not sure how the raids work in this regard.

Yea if you leave a raid, it will let you continue at the last checkpoint you completed. You lose checkpoints at weekly reset. Just use the recruit forum and note which checkpoint you are at.

After your first couple times the raid will only take like hour and half

Thank you for the responses. I am on Xbox One and I have watched videos of the fights. I will probably organize a group advertising to others like me who want to stage it over a few days.

It absolutely is

You have all week but if your group doesn't suck it shouldn't take longer than 2 hours. It's really not a difficult raid. The hardest part for me was understanding how being torn worked on the Daughters of Oryx part. Once I realized how easy it was and how stupid I was... It was cake.

yup, I beat it in a period of 3 days

If you are on ps4, add me Arkdemon44 I can teach you the raid mechanics

yup, checkpoints at every major progress. ie kill a boss or clear an obstacle. you can be sure your at a new checkpoint when the darkness zone kicks in, or when your objective changes.

Yes. You can get check points after each obstacle/boss. This is often how I raid. Beat first few sections, next night beat a few more, next night down Oryx.
