The community has discussed (and is discussing) the ongoing issue of content locking to adjust for The Taken King DLC, and along with that are many topics concerning it. Something I noticed in earlier Weekly Update postings was the mentioning of just that. I am posting this topic to help give some clarification for those that want to find more official information on some of the changes that have been made to the base game's activities with certain requirements along with feedback to Bungie on the things going on. Destiny is a game that can seriously thrive if kept under the right conditions, of which are strong communication, honesty, and clarity. This is not intended to pick sides, but is simply to give information on some of what is going on to help guide everyone to know more on what is happening. As a direct note to Bungie, I think the most important way to improve upon this situation in order to prevent situations at this scale from occurring would be to give every detail about the major (and minor) changes, especially those that change level requirements for activities and why those changes are happening well in advance, the week before, and also the week of. I think doing so will help alleviate the state of being that the community is currently in. Although stating why may or may not justify the means, it can at least solve the issue of what the motivation was for making the specific decision(s) being made.
