WISH I COULD PLAY DESTINY... 'Canary Error'

So I bought Destiny recently because a friend of mine at work had kept talking about it and I got very interested in giving it a try. I DID play the demo for both Xbox One and 360 with NO problems at all. As soon as I get home to play some Destiny - I wait the lengthy amount of time for the update to download.. Once that is finally done I am all ready and hyped to play some Destiny. Or not. I keep getting the "No internet connection detected - 'Canary' error code" EVERY time I try to play. I have tried restarting my xbox, restarting my modem, plugging my xbox into the modem through an ethernet but NOPE still no Destiny for me. I have not made it past this error yet and I am dying to play Destiny. PLEASE HELP!

Hi! As you have already discovered, Error Code Canary means that your console isn't detecting a network/internet connection. This is a very binary error, meaning that somewhere along the line your Internet is simply not making it to your console. Since you have already indicated that you are running a wired connection(which is always preferable), if you are running Ethernet cable from a device other than your modem(router, repeater, etc), please ensure that device is also working properly. Next, as trivial as it may seem, please ensure that your Ethernet cable is connected at both ends. It may also be possible that your Ethernet cable is damaged somewhere along it's length. Lastly, please verify that your modem is receiving internet from your ISP. You can check this with another device, or even contact your ISP directly to ensure that there are no problems piping into your home network. Please give those suggestions a shot, and let me know how things are looking. Here is the Error Code Canary page with more information. Edit: Also, since you indicated that you switched to a wired connection, make sure you update your Network Settings in your console. Your Xbox may still be looking for a Wi-Fi signal that may no longer exist.
