To all the haters...The Taken King will blow you away.
There's been a lot of negativity around this expansion, but I can say with confidence after watching the streams that The Taken King will be great! I don't care what biased review sites will say, I don't care what haters have to say, I don't care what trolls have to say. I have a mind of my own and Destiny is by far my favorite game of all time! I've had so many epic moments from the crucible to the Raids. I have forged friendships, had a blast doing so, and laughed my arse off at times. After what I saw in the stream in the Court of Oryx and the Raid King's fall; I'm so hyped. The price tag is really a bargain! We are getting like a whole game for the price of $40.00. Thanks, and see all you true guardians at King's Fall.
Edit: I'm seeing posts from folks that have hundreds of hours logged into the game that state, "this game is disappointing, this game is not fun, this game sucks!"
Do you all play for hundreds of hours just feeling miserable the whole time? Do you continue to play a game that you claim you don't like because you like self torture?
Or is it just the hipster thing to do to crap on the game?

yawn, another fan boy jumping the gun on the expansion. Has no one learned yet that Bungie will NEVER deliver what they say they will? The expansion may be awesome. It might be the greatest thing to happen to Destiny since launch, but blindly getting your hopes up is just stupid. wait and see... and keeps your hopes low, you will be better off

The Dark Below and House of Wolves were pretty much set in stone at the launch of Destiny itself so I doubt there was any room for major innovations. The innovations are coming now as seen with more cutscenes/story, skippable cutscenes, swords, a basic levelling system, more customization and better RNG drops which take into account what you do or don't have which is everything that has been suggested by the community since launch. The Taken King hangs in the balance of the Raid itself and somewhat the story. Anything is an improvement over the original story so if it decent at best, it will be accepted by the community. Most of us are here for the Raid. If it is crap, all those changes they made to the mechanics of the game and all those promises they made and the new gear won't be worth shit. If that happens, we will probably start seeing a permanent decline in the community rather than temporary declines we usually see which is associated with burnout. If The Taken King isn't a step in the right direction, is the same old crap like the HoW in particular, and a game such as The Divison is a major hit then Bungie are in deep trouble.

The only thing negative about TTK for me is the price ($63 equivalent in my country). Other than that it looks great.

3 RepliesLook. This game was overhyped just because its bungie who made it. You know, the ppl from tht good game...halo or something. Anyway, a super budged tht delivered us this. Its like going to a super fancy restaurant n the chef slightly burns my chicken. Still edible but dry. Thts destiny. It rips us off with their stupid dlcs and shit. 80 euros thn another 40. I doubt tht with one dlc it will fill up the story, if it had one to begin with. I play because there is nothing else to play. Hopefully star wars wont blow like destiny does.

These overly positive, rose-colored-lense, over the top hyped up outlooks are no better than the "haters" as you call them. You look just as retarded as the haters and trolls. There's a middle ground, and even though I love the game as well, I am reasonable and rational enough to see it. The initial release sucked... The first expansion sucked... The second expansion didn't suck quite as bad... They've got a lot of ground to make up.

25% of my game play was grinding for materials. Another 50% doing the same content over and over. 25% spent doing something for the first time. 100% disappointed in what I got out of the game. It's not a bargain, it's what should have come with the base 60$ game I bought.

12 RepliesI'm not sure how old you are, or if you've purchased your first car yet. But if/when you do, make sure you leave this kind of blind consumerism behind. Always, always take time to make sure you're getting good value. Not trying to be a dick or grind your gears; I just think you should take time to make sure all the hype is warranted before blindly throwing down money.

And I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking that TDB and HoW was going to be good but the content only lasted a couple of weeks of that... Look at vanilla destiny and how much content it had launch. I'm not trying to be all negative here but don't assume that it'll be good bc of streams bc that's exactly what streams are supposed to do. Build hype so it can be followed by utter disappointment. But I honestly hope it'll be good but I won't be preordering content that can't run out or buying it 9/15. I'll wait a couple weeks... If you are smart you'll do the same
