Hardest Subclass To Use In Crucible?

Gunslinger

147

Bladedancer

114

Voidwalker

65

Sunsinger

97

Striker

88

Defender

1412

I've used every subclass (so far) in both PvE and PvP so my choice isn't biased, but I definitely think Gunslinger is the hardest to use. You get a maximum of four bullets which is great. The time your Golden Gun sticks around is very short and you don't gain any additional strength like the Sunsinger or Bladedancer so you're extremely easy to kill. One thing I do like is that you can use Throwing Knives and Grenades. What subclass do you have the hardest time using in Crucible? Edit1: Personally I believe if you use the bubble strategically and place it in the right spot it's an extremely easy super that spawns orbs for your team. It's not like your too easy to kill in this super. Edit2: As soon as people get killed by a subclass they immediately assume that super is OP. Bladedancer and Sunsinger CAN be difficult Edit3: Xûr has manifested :) Edit4: Can we get this trending? Edit5: Check out my #MOTW submission https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ua7jnxHrWa0

  • I love playing Defender on a good team, but with random idiots, it's a nightmare. They keep running from supers I've suppressed, peek and die in my Armor Ward of Dawn because they don't know the difference between Blessing and Armor, leave me to fight an entire team by myself at an objective, ect. Or they just stand complacently in my bubble without watching for the Striker charging forward to super my bubble instead of helping me pick him off from a safe distance. The other players actually have to know how the Defender works to take full advantage of its abilities, and it's painfully obviously most don't. The Defender is the most difficult to use because it also requires your teammates to understand your subclass at least somewhat.

  • Probably gunslinger. Nothing fancy bout it except knives and a super with no defensive buff.

Id say bladedancer, reason being i COMPLETELY STOPPED using it for a long time in crucible because i couldn't stop being one shotted by shottys. Untill i started to practice it and slowly master it its beginning to get alot more reliable in pvp. When i hear a bladedancer, my whole team runs while i rush him. shotty plus melee instant death to him. I laugh at people who run away because they clearly dont have any skill in the crucible and they are showing they are only good for camping in a corner with thorn. TL/DR: bladedancer is extremely hard to use effectively untill you practice it alot, also people who run from them have no skill and are only good for sitting in a corner with thorn. Shotgun plus melee people..

    • Defender getting the most votes? Pop your super and sit in one spot is hard?!? People use it to defend/assist their teammates and generate guaranteed orbs, a 3 year old can successfully use a defender titan.

I love trolling with defender. One of friends runs ram and Max armor and he thinks he is invincible and he died at heavy self resurrected and I threw my suppressor grenade at the ground suppressed him and killed him and proceeded to teabag

          • To all of the Titans who think that their shoulder charge and fist of havoc are balanced just stop it. Everyone knows those two things make Titans op in crucible. And by denying that you are giving the rest of us Titans a bad name.

            • While difficult, the defender in the hands of an experienced player can wreak literally anything. How? Two words:
Suppression grenades.
;)

              • Went into crucible today with 3 defender Titans using weapons of light and no land beyond. Safe to say we one shot just about every kill we had once we got our supers.

              • I main a defender titan in crucible. I hate using anything else. I have always been a team player and this fits my style. I don't find it hard but watching you people play on my team I understand why you people suck at teamwork lol. Jk

                • Recently started playing as a titan in crucible and decided to try out defender. Was on Pantheon and I popped my bubble (using Blessing of Light) just before you turn into the sniper lane coming from flag C. Enabled us to fight to B successfully and capture it while the snipers on our team were taking out the enemies on the other side. It was a great feeling to help out the whole team! Need to work on where and when to pop the bubble. And whether to use blessing/weapons of light. I'm actually really looking forward to playing more as a defender!

Makes me kind of mad that people picked gunslinger as a harder subclass to use, if you get shut down at close quarters, then you should be smart and shoot from a distance, what no other super has the advantage of, besides nova bomb but you don't get 3 or 4 of them

                    • For some reason I always find the hunter most difficult in crucible, I main a Titan so I guess I'm just not used to it, and before you say, I don't use shoulder charge :)

                    • I voted Voidwalker because I hate that the super can catch on walls or ledges and it's the only super that can outright kill you.

                    • Voidwalker: its base grenades are pretty weak, it's melee abilities besides the healing provide useless perks (since energy drain increases grenade regeneration for subpar grenades), the super is powerful but can get hooked on walls, the only super that can kill you, and the only super that can get hit markers. Even with lance and annihilation I believe the AoE is very weak and can easy be blinked out of due to charge time. Blink is effective but unlike the BD the weapons don't ready as quickly (hence the reason blinks shotguns tend to run along hunters more so than warlocks). I'm not denying defenders take a lot of skill, quite a bit actually, but I would say they take about equal skill due to the entirety of the underpowered aspect of them. Now before everyone rages about nova bomb, understand in a panic situation you can kill yourself and it's the only class that does that. As compared to all other classes and subclasses, it's abilities aren't top notch.

                      • I main a Sunsinger, to which I have pretty good results. Yesterday I dabbled in a little Defender Titan....holy cow I died more than ever and was on the receiving end of almost every super in the game. I went negative K/D in every match.

                      • Unpopular opinion, but Bladedancer. Its a close quarters super that can be one-shot by a shotgun and instantly shut down by any other super in the game with no trade. I hate when people say "anyone who says otherwise... blah blah blah", but honestly if you disagree with this you clearly haven't played the class enough to pass proper judgement. Quickdraw is awesome though, I'll give it that.

                        • I've never personally felt that any class had a certain advantage over the other until I tried defender in crucible. It blows ass. Completely underpowered in crucible and I honestly don't know how they would fix it because that's just how the class is played: incredibly defensive and anchored down
