Destiny servers messed up worse than usual?

Hey guys, im a year one player whose always had some connection issues playing Destiny but who hasn't? I mean you look all over reddit and other social sites and read about how terrible their servers are but at least you can still play a solid amount of time...at least until the latest 8/14 update. Since this update came out ive had weasel and baboon error codes all day everyday. I literally mean all day. Now i kmow not everyone has these issues but ive spoken to alkost 30 other players who said they were having similar problems! And when did it all start happening? After the 8/14 update. Now prior to this update i would lose connection maybe 1 time every 2 hours or so but now its a whole new story. I now lose my connection to the servers about 10-15 times an hour based on what im playing..but heres where it gets weird. If i go to play call of duty, gta or any of the other online games i have, its crystal clear! How you ask? Well im not entirely sure myself, so i posted here on the forums and got a lot of replies saying its my garbage connection and a lot of replies from people having the same exact issue. Bungie even replied and gave me some feed back such as calling my IPS which i did. I got in contact with someone from xfinity support who ran a test on my connection, service, and wifi and found what exactly? Nothing. Everything is a OK. Now i bring this to bungies attention and they reccomend i buy a new router. "OK" i said but felt a little skeptical so i called xfinity support again to check their opinion. I was promised my router modem combination was perfect and that wasting my money on a new router be be nothing less than, well, a waste. Why would they talk me out of buying one of their routers? Because theres no point. Something is wrong with my combination of the Xbox One, comcast xfinity, and Destiny. But again only since the latest update. Now since Bungie has since stopped replying im posting this long and to most of you an un interesting rant in search of guidance, help and most of all feed back. If anyone who has read this is having similar issues i want you to like and comment. I will be keeping track to see Exactly whats going on and what the results of this test are. Bungie assures me its my fault but i've opened my NAt type, bought an ethernet cable, hard reset my Xbox about 15 times (since the update) and called my provider. I have expired all my options and what does Bungie say? Theres nothing wrong with the Destiny servers. Guys and Girls alike i need your help on this one. Sincerly, MikeSomeRice.

  • My question to Bungie is: With all the -blam!-ing money you've made off of us, are you going to purchase dedicated servers for PvP, or stick with your unstable, cheap-as-we-can-do-it peer-to-peer system?
