Disappointed in Bungie......

Okay, before I give my spiel of why Destiny has totally fallen apart, let me tell you I LOVED the game once it came out the atmosphere was amazing and it truly felt like a Bungie game and brought me back to my Halo roots. Now at the time from level 1 to around 27, I was totally offline, I did not have Xbox Live and I was fine with that. Yes, it may have gotten boring but that's why I had the whole open world to explore. Then when it came time to get Xbox Live I was excited and couldn't think of what to do next. I played some Crucible matches and went through the whole playlist of maps in 20 minutes due to crashes and spawning into a game with 2 minutes left. Did some strikes and wanted to do the weekly strikes. But I couldn't because matchmaking at the time was not enabled. I didnt have any friends who played Destiny on a Xbox 360 so I was all out of luck. I did the weekly glitch on VoG to get some shards and ascendant materials but that wasnt enough. I was confused as to why we couldn't do the weekly strikes by matchmaking, as the teamwork was fine in the normal lobbies. Then I got off for a month or two and the first DLC was released. I installed it and played through the single player missions in 1 hour completely bored out of my mind. Then Bungie announced that they were giving matchmaking to the weeklies. Now I was excited and after I played some strikes over a couple of weeks I realized that I NEVER communicated with anyone and we completed them just fine. Now I can understand for Nightfall but the reason they initially made this for fireteams only was because of a communication issue, making it too hard for players to beat certain levels. This kind of got me thinking. If I use Destiny LFG for Raids, completely unaware of who I am going to get matched up with, besides what gun they have, why can't we use matchmaking for Raids. I mean, Bungie could implement a filter to where you only search for people who have certain guns, playstyles ,etc. Which each player can specify from orbit. Then each player can enter in their gun and playstyle, etc through settings. And people can vote if they want to kick someone if they are not participating or don't have a mic, all on the group's preference. After playing Raids with LFG I got boring with the repetitive map design and feeling of doing the same thing and only changing the gun due to burns. As a loyal Borderlands player these games can be VERY much compared together as they are essentially the same game. Both free roam, random drops, freestyle storyline in some aspects, all alike. Now, Borderlands loot system is very complex and simple to understand. In BL, certain enemies such as bosses or unique enemies will drop 1 unique weapon or item to them and to them alone. While as in Destiny it is all random and doesn't really give the factor of toughness. You could probably open a chest from free roam and get Gjallarhorn. While in BL, players try to kill one enemy and try their hardest to get that one gun. Which also makes it more fun. This basically removes the factor of playing Raids. Sure you are guaranteed a legendary at the end of completing a Raid but those take from 1-2 hours to complete. With the new drop balance, you can finish a strike in 10 minutes with a good team and get a higher chance of legendaries. It's all ratios and math. Plus there is literally thousands of different items and weapons in BL, in Destiny, its the same gun with a different color and stats. Name is rarely different unless its a purple or yellow. The armour looks the same and the guns rarely look different. Which is why the repetitive map design kills me. Mars and Venus always look alike when you get inside the buildings. Plus there are NEVER game crashes in BL. When I free roam I only see like 2 people in 2 hours so I don't see the aspect of multiplayer open world gaming. Unless you visit the tower, and we all know how buggy that can be. So all in all, terrible voice acting, repetitive map design, terrible story, no explanations, no matchmaking for raids, game crashes, and weapon balancing all make the game unenjoyable and flat out, boring. Now remember, this is coming from a recent player who maxed out a character to 34 and one character to 28, I spent $100 on the collectors edition and expected a lot. Now, I'm disappointed. Not even gonna look at the prices for Taken King, not gonna buy it.
