Plastic surgery, an ultimate high in Korea
I wanted to create this topic because I was discussing with my friend the other night who visits Korea frequently. She mention
a friend of hers have recently gone through plastic surgery. My friend described her before as average and chubby. When my friend met up with her for a reunion she couldn't believe how different she looked. She literally looked like she jumped out of an anime. Her eyes were big, skin was flawless, chin shaped to perfection, and her body was slender not to mention she doubled her breast size to which matched a tiny waist and perfect trimmed hips. My friend felt like she would break in half looking at all the plastic surgery she undergone from head to toe.
I provided links to before and after photos of females as well as males who've completely changed there look. Asia in general is the highest percentage of woman as well as men who undergo plastic surgery. America is up there as the top 25 in the country.
So what are your thoughts on what you saw and the stigma of plastic surgery in general? I can understand cosmetic surgery being used as a necessity in some cases but have people gone too far to perfecting beauty? Thoughts?

South Korea is a strange country. It's like a unique mixture of Japanese and American pop-culture with everything turned up to 11 (including depression).

Very few children in that country are going to look like their parents.

The only problem with it is modeling for younger people. We certainly want children to be comfortable as who they are. It's important to say to your children if you have any that you are doing this not because you feel uncomfortable but for professional purposes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

I think it's safe to say that you'll see a lot of natural beauty here over artificial ones. Also, Asia in general has highest percentage due to the fact that like , they are way more people here? Ps Plastic surgeries like that are pretty expensive, so not many people would be able to afford them

I would generally be against it, they should have just payed more attention during character creation. Though some of people in the link had jaw deformities so that's completely alright with me if they wanted it fixed. I just dislike plastic surgies because it physically changes your aparence so that you ended up looking like a different person altogether; you lose a part of yourself, of who you were, in the process of "looking better".

I always found the idea of a "perfect wo/man" very depressing. It forces people to suppress themselves because they haven't found someone that values them for being themselves.
