Faction packages
I have opened pretty close to 12 packages as of recent and have received nothing but strange coins and motes of light. I thought we were supposed to be rewarded with faction gear for ranking up each faction. Raise drop percentage on faction gear/ships/shaders please it's almost a waste of time...

Shameless bump, another six packages opened in the last couple of days. I did receive the Conduit this time (not that its already available for purchase) next to a lot of motes of light. While I do love a steady stream of motes, its really messing with the droprate of faction specific items. To make things worse, one of my friends just started gaining reputation for the Future War Cult, and it dropped a shader for him on level five. We are after all grinding the same bounties over and over (Get three gold medals in a public event all day everyday am I right?) only to be disappointed by our rewards for doing so. Is there any way we can get the attention of Cozmo/DeeJ on this topic?

1 ReplyI am rank 35 total for dead orbit. I got hanged man pretty early on, therefore I thought getting shaders happened semi-consistently (every 10 or so). Then 19 packages later I had received ALL motes and coins since that drop. Finally on my rank 25 package on my titan I got Bittersteel. Thus my advice is that don't get into factions unless you have insane RNG or you are ready for a serious grind. BTW: Bittersteel was the one I wanted most. The hype is all on Revenant, and the Nowhere is the rarest but I do prefer bittersteel. The hunt is now on for those two, here I come patrol missions.

2 RepliesIt seems most things just grant motes, coins or materials now. I used to get engrams from public events, now I just get materials. Factions packages are 90% coins/motes. Faction shaders and ships should have been sold by their respective faction, or the factions should have their own bounties that boost their score only, like Eris'. That or things like patrols should pay out a Hell of a lot more in terms of XP,because working up to 2500 points takes forever, and it's only rubbing salt into the wound when it turns out to be motes/coins. Either that, or its items you already have from the faction.

I am rank 31 with New Monarchy and only have Nefertiti shader I like it but I have yet to get any other shaders with N/M or my other factions lvl 23 and 27

I've been complaining for a while. Some people are lucky to have all shaders, some Ghorn or hawkmoon... Or all. I have the weapons but only 1/12 shaders so far. Pretty much sucks. I do bounties everyday to get rep up to get packages. Sometimes I get gear but I already have it. I need shaders -
Man, these packages have become the greatest example of Trolling ever. Talk about a load of shit for a shit load of grinding. See what I did there?

It is quite absurd, I opened a lot of packages yielding only single motes of light or a combination of motes and coins. Not to mention that factions serve no purpose as of now (also see this [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/142489890/0/0]thread[/url]). The least Bungie could do to fix this problem is either by putting shaders and ships up for sale just like they do with the other factions. Or increase drop rates so that people are guaranteed to get these items to drop at least [u]once[/u].

Im Rank 15 dead Orbit and I have 3 of their sharers. Yet I'm Rank 44 with new monarchy and only have 2 Shaders, when by now most ppl I know with that much rep have the ship. The drops chances really are ridiculous.

2 RepliesIt's been atleast 5 months since I've seen any kind of shader drop. In fact, I started in January and I've only ever received one shader. I've never got a ship. I have a combined Dead Orbit rank of 35 and I only have one shader. I have every other faction leveled up too and never received a ship or shader from them.

I have been leveling my new monarchy on all three characters and have yet to get anything but one mote or a couple coins. It took me a while to get anything from dead orbit but at least I was getting gear or useful items....rewards are shit

Coins, motes and gear I already have is the norm. Wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take frigging forever to get the points to level up.
