Could probably wright a book on that topic..
Is it because most gamers are just young- and at that angry point in their life?
Or
Are they angry because deep down inside they know they're wasting their life?
What do you think?

Also some people have anger issues.
-
Honestly, video games can be a way for people to release a lot of anger that they have from their daily lives.

-
Why do people get angry with sports and jump people in stadium parking lots? Because fans are passionate, there ya go.

Because fuck you.

Because humans are stupid and pathetic that's why

Edited by Zemaille: 8/4/2015 12:40:44 PMBecause the move to non-personal conversations online installs a false sense of bravado. I bet 90% of the people on any given gaming forum wouldn't be as irritating and angry in real life towards the people they bash.

Anger is a common trait in.. Well almost everything/ everyone! That's dumb to say it more common among gamers.
-
For school I did a year long research project on this topic. The reason anger or aggression can be found among gamers is competition. The survival instinct (our natural instinct to live) is run by competition. Despite the fact it isn't life threatening, now a days competition in any form in the brain is seen as a need to survive in which causes the subject to act in ways which they normally wouldn't such as in an angry or aggressive manner. Games in the more recent years have focused on the Player versus Player or PVP modes as large sellers and as you guessed; is obvious competition. I'm not saying that Gaming makes a person violent or aggressive; I am merely stating that it is a possible outcome depending on the competition level of the game.

Because it is an easy way to vent, and when your main outlet of stress starts giving you more stress, it's like a doubling effect.

A condition of the internet? The more outrageous one is, the easier it is to get attention. It's not just gamers, look at any comment board for any newspaper or major news source. It actually makes most gamers look tame.
-
You posted the angry video game nerd?! What the hell? Don't hate on the NERD, his show is hilarious and if you played what he does or have, than you would get his humour

Oh you mean fake internet anger? Who knows
-
Honestly, if there wasn't hatred in the gaming community then there wouldn't be a gaming community. That's what I believe. Hatred is what makes the developers put more effort into games because the devs want people to play their games. Without the hatred, well not even hatred, its the love for a certain genre/series (however you want to look at it) that makes the community the way it is.

Because they're either kids who haven't had enough life experiences to put their video game frustrations into perspective or they are immature adults with the same problem.

Edited by nnnooonnnooo: 8/1/2015 2:01:45 AMWhy do people say their fellow gamers are angry? I don't understand the reason for addressing anger and asking people if they are "mad bro". Why don't people just mind their own business and or stop pissing people off. If someone is yelling curse words into their microphone why do people ask them if they are mad it seems very apparent that people are mad and it seems to infuriate them even more. Why are some gamers on purposefully out to anger people instead of having fun?
