A reflection on my last few months playing Destiny.

Dear Bungie I know the last little while has been rough on all of your workers and your company. I understand that you are trying to appease everyone in the community. I even understand that's there's only so much you can do and if Activision doesn't approve of something then that's probably that. But as an Alpha player I can honestly say I think you guys deserve the flak you've been getting lately. You deliberately tried to shag over Day One players with TTK and between Deej's and Luke Smiths response to our upset it felt like you were kicking sand in our eyes. Trials has become essentially a running joke because you have no sort of moderating or bans on abilities or weapons everyone is just running around with a Fel Winters, Thorn or self res. If you want something to be competitive you have to acknowledge what is over powered and provides an unfair advantage over other players and take it out.(in;b4 Blade Dancer or Fist of Havoc) supers being a major thing that shouldn't be in trials. Iron Banner is just a clumsy broken mess between red bars and just plain old unreasonable latency and ping issues it's barely been playable the last few times it has showed up. You aren't capable of having a skill ranked pvp type the way you're running it. It's almost always connection over skill. And what about all of the PvE players who have had to suffer through bounties that require them to play PvP? Have you ever stopped to consider that people may want something they simply cannot obtain due to different variables? Be it skill, or their internet just doesn't allow them to have a stable enough connection? Not to mention the lack of weekly events for them, I'm talking Queens Wrath esque. The only thing keeping anyone(myself included) playing this game is because most of us are collectors and you built this on a "grind it 'til you find it" platform, which on your part was a smart business move. While this may seem like, and ultimately is a rant towards you I just hope you understand that I became a guardian because of what I was promised, not what I received. While I feel as though I have gotten more than my moneys worth for this game and I will pick up the TTK expansion now that it's receiving a price drop I seriously think everyone at the company needs to step back and take a long hard look at the community you, us, everyone involved has managed to build and we need to ask ourselves "how do we keep it?" And as far as some pvp fixes go might I suggest: Rumble: Take heavy out, I never understood the point of it being in a free for all anyway. It essentially controls the game. Thorn: I use it, not because I want to but because I have to. I seriously think Bungie needs to consider putting out an armor that makes the DoT useless to a player using it. If you find that a Thorn won't work against a player anymore, prove you're smarter than them and develop a new strategy. The Last Word: Is there really anything to say other than the range on this gun is just ridiculous for what's shown in the stats? Tracking Rockets: Don't allow them in crucible. Why do I get extra points for killing an enemy player while I'm using a heavy weapon? Shouldn't it be less points for a heavy kill since it's easier? And another thing, if I'm using a regular weapon and kill someone who is using a heavy should I be awarded more points instead of a standard 100? I'll edit as I come up with more points, but these are some of the things I think about regularly in pvp. PS. The total influx of Thorn and TLW users has essentially ruined the game for me. I hope Thorn gets nerfed into oblivion.
