Officials said that gunman had numerous weapons, and the police chief, Fred Fletcher, said that among those “brutally and brazenly attacked” were members of the armed services.

America never ceases to amaze me. I don't mean to be insensitive to the victims, but anyone with half a brain could see this coming. The issue is with our contradictory attitude toward Muslims. On the one hand we allow them to immigrate to our nation en masse, yet the moment they arrive here, we treat them like crap. You can't do that and not expect something bad to happen. Here is what I think: We never should have allowed Muslims into our nation to begin with. Islam is simply too dangerous of an ideology to peacefully coexist with others under a secular republic. And while the progressives are going to down vote the heck out of this post for "Islamophobia," I'm just being honest. I don't even need to appeal to modern Islamic terrorism like 9/11. That's not even the tip of the iceberg. I'm talking the genocides of the Armenians and Pontian Greeks, the 400 years of subjugation my Orthodox people suffered under the Ottoman yoke, the illegal occupation of Cyprus, and the conquest of the Indian subcontinent. But even then, if you still disagree with me, I'm sure you'll agree that America's attitudes toward Muslims--for better or for worse--are negative and hateful. That said, since I don't see the attitudes changing any time soon, maybe we just shouldn't allow Muslims to immigrate here in the first place. It's a no brainer that combining the two groups is going to create trouble. If we can remove one group from the equation then we can stop the trouble. Frankly, I'd rather bar Muslims entry into our nation than let them in only to encounter hatred and bigotry. If anything, it is the more humane option. Be up front: we don't like you, so instead of letting you in only to stab you in the back, we're just not going to let you in at all. At least honesty is a virtue.

It's sad but no way to prevent this from happening cause of your rights... The names of these people alone are red flags and should be watched

HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED?! THEY HAD THE SIGN UP! I guess the sign was either out of batteries that power the anti-gun force-field, or it simple wasn't big enough to stop a bad guy. They should have probably just gone with a bigger sign in the first place. It would have stopped that bad guy in his tracks. #GunFreeZonesSaveLives

Seeing a lot of racists on this thread.

Guns should be banned
-
The thing that pisses me off most is his mug shot. The little prick is smiling. I really wish we had cruel and unusual punishment. I'd tie this guy up and throw him into a pit of alligators.

What's tragic is the COMPLETE lack of security at recruiting and reserve facilities. Per rules and regs, you can't even have a firearm to protect yourself.
-
We need gun control.
-
For everyone saying "Gun Control laws should be implemented immediately," news flash, criminals and terrorists don't follow laws.
-
Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez.........and they said it was domestic terrorism...my arse.
-
Was the shooter affiliated with any terrorist organizations?
-
Why are some people mentioning Jade Helm or whatever? What is that anyway?

How did he get his hands on a high powered rifle?

My heart goes out to those 4 marines and their families who were killed while they were defenseless. Semper Fi
This gun control argument is just flat out disrespectful to the men who died today. But of course you filthy liberals are going to take every opportunity you can get to use insane logic to try and get your way
Not tryin'a be disrespectful at all here but how did one dude take out four Marines or at least a couple trained soldiers and a couple civilians in the middle of a military compound? You'd think they'd be perforated the second they fired a shot. It wasn't even element of surprise that got him the kills since the actual deaths were thirty minutes into the altercation.
