Which game series is better? And I made sure not to put a tie to make it that much harder. I personally love Elder Scrolls, but Fallout is really fun too

This is a tough choice, but I'm gonna say Fallout

I LOVE Fallout, but the combat is clunky. So... I have to vote TES as the better series (currently). At least as far as gameplay / combat mechanics. However, I have high hopes for Fallout 4.

Why do people never include a "both" poll. u.u

I am the decider!

Edited by a clumsy scrub: 7/8/2015 3:32:32 AMFor me this is: Fallout 3/New Vegas Vs. Skyrim Fallout 3s world (story, physical world, and lore) mixed with New vegas ADS and crafting options, the crazy arsenal of futuristic and often old weapons. The survival aspect, the apocalyptic mood, and the terrifying creatures make a very unique gaming experience. Skyrim has a bigger world that the fallout games did, but its newer so thats expected. It had sprint, which is a big +1. Amazing story, much like fallout, while completely unlike fallout lol. Magic and swords are always a good combination, and a nice break when youve been playing to many FPSs. Both are so much alike, but they dont release at the same time, so truly comparing is tricky. Fallout wins though, although I basically drowned myself in Skyrim (metaphorically. I didnt ever drown in skyrim lol), so dont hate.

If were basing it off the fact that fallout 4 isnt released yet, then definitely elder scrolls But once fallout 4 comes out that may change
-
I love both, but I'd say elder scrolls
-
Why would you make something like this Ahhh so hard to choose man Fallout tho...
-
Fallout all the way
-
Fallout hands down
Cause war, war never changes
-
If Elder scrolls 6 was coming out and not Fallout 4 this poll would be a hell of a lot different.
-
I love them both but I like The Elder Scrolls just a tad more.
-
Gotta go with ES. I've found myself getting bored of Fallout as of the last 2 games before I could even finish the stories. Sucks too because I loved the first 2.
-
I like both to be honest ES is my go to fantasy game FO for post apocalyptic ;)

Edited by Matu Flp Krawfe: 7/7/2015 2:10:30 AMI'm leaning more fallout these days. I can still consider going back to New Vegas and Fallout 3, but even with mod support Skyrim just seems like a bit of a slog through a clunky, grindy format with too many soft edges of one kind or another. This isn't a question of one or the other, but I'd say for now Fallout has had a better recent offering.
-
Elder scrolls definitly
-
Fallout is more fun than TES IMO
-
I like to drop bunch of mini nukes on people
-
Oblivion was better than Fallout 3, and Skyrim was better than New Vegas. But overall, I think I prefer the Fallout universe to the Elder Scrolls universe.
-
Well after eso I'd say fallout
-
Can't... choose......
-
So original -_-

I should preface that I've only ever played skyrim and not even completed it at that. Otherwise I've only seen bits and pieces of the other games. I'd like elder scrolls more if it expanded or emphasized on the things that make it seem less like a generic fantasy universe. That's really it, but at the same time I can see that maybe as a good thing. It's something that is hidden and waiting to be found by the player. It's there I've seen it, I just feel it needs to play on that more. Fallout thankfully has the retro future 50's thing so that, as a base line, keeps it from delving too far into being generically post apocalyptic. Hopefully they keep the other stuff, however I see that that may change.

I grew up with both series. The first game I bought with my money was ES: arena. Personally I've always enjoyed swords and magic over guns but i love them both
