So Bungie FEATURED the fact...
In a Weekly Update Deej specifically highlighted the fact that The Taken King will include missions that are the exact same with different enemies swapped in to the mission.
They're bragging about making you play the same content over again.
Hell. They're not even hiding it now. They're kicking us in the nuts and telling us we'll like it. Then charging us $40 bucks to do it.

49 RepliesWhether we wanted it or not, we stepped into a war with the Activisionians on Bungie. So let's start by taking out their commanders one by one. Pre-ordering. From what I can gather, he commands the gaming content from a Publisher outside of Destiny. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on DLC.

1 ReplyI will not preorder. I don't care what exclusives they throw at us; I'm waiting to see what this expansion really is, when it's released, before I consider buying it. I'm not falling for things like "New social space!" = three new vendors; or "New story missions!" = same areas from the base game with a pathetic attempt at telling a story. To be honest, if any other game comes out which offers what we all originally expected of Destiny, then I am out of here ASAP.

New enemies in old mission > same enemies in old missions. It's a small part of TTK. Don't forget that TTK is still Destiny 1.X, it's not going to be all new content.

This is why I didn't pre-order and I will be waiting to see some of the content via Destiny youtubers because if this is more of the same shit Ive been doing since day 1, im -blam!-ing outta here and moving on. The only reason I stuck around up to HoW is because I got the expansion pass with the limited edition.

Sure the bare bones of the concept is basically re skin old enemies and give them new mechanics but it's the challenge they are bringing that is supposedly worth 40 dollars. All I know is that if the exotics I've grinded for become useless and Un ascendable I'm done. I don't feel like putting my playtime into a game that doesn't care about my contributions. Oh you think a personalization pack is going to make us forget our grind since beta? Do you think a cool black shader will make me want to play even though my favorite weapon is no longer viable? I'm not even talking about ghorn either, that gun is for people with small genitals. Life without fate bringer will be toxic

2 RepliesSince it's currently not known if buying the taken king on last gen will give you the next gen version for free.. I have a particular concern..Since I won't have ps4 until Christmas I plan on buying it on last gen in September..so obviously I will have earned taken king gear weapons and the subclasses.. when I get ps4 would I literally be locked out of all my gear weapons and subclasses until I pay And to everyone who just says get ps4.. Issue is I can't get ps4 until Christmas. So either I basically don't play destiny from September to Christmas and get way behind all my friends or I pay twice when BOTH THE FULL GAME AND THE FIRST TWO EXPANSIONS WILL TRANSFER. And even worse I bet the dlc after taken king comes out in December like THE dark below did..gg bungie..way to screw over some customers and not give a single care or thought towards people like me.. so if I am correct here it's 40 dollars (taken king on ps3 since I won't have ps4 in til Christmas ) + 20 dollars for a potential expansion likely releases early December. + 40 dollars for taken king on ps4 when I get ps4 fkr Christmas + 20 dollars for my speculated December dlc on my ps4 = 120 dollars just because I won't have next gen until Christmas and I don't wanna fall so far behind.. 80 dollars if there isn't a December dlc.. so I guess I either spend 80 to 120 dollars or I don't play destiny for 4 months and fall so far behind and be so far out of THE loop but only have to spend 40 to 60 dollars.. gg bungie.. gg...you seem to have stopped caring about people in my situation all to be greedy..I bet Activision is also to blame here.. >:(

The xbox guys get the PSN exclusive strikes and BUNGIE is giving the PSN those same strikes with taken enemies strewn about. They could've done nothing for the PSN guys but they chose to do this.

He said there will be some taken enemies in some existing strikes but ALSO new strikes with new locations. During an E3 interview you could see gameplay of one of the strikes in the background (no taken enemies in it) and although PART of it took you along the path to Zydron, at that point you went to a secret door on the far side of the area and went in a completely new area. As for missions, it's confirmed that there will be a new patrol area on the dreadnought, which means new missions that won't rehash old places.

Destiny really is just doing the same crap over and over. And lacks any kind of variety. The 2 expansions we got so far were completely low quality and a rip off. Don't buy the taken king til you know its worth 40 bucks. Which it most likely wont be. It will be the same old recycled crap. With the selling point being the new powers.

Not really recycling unless theu add the same strike on the map. They are showing Oryxs armies moving in and fighting other parts of the darkness for control. Imagine they decorate the tower for bungie day. They arent recycling the tower, they are adding something different for a short period

No just no. What they are doing is permanently changing some of the existing strikes to oryx' taken army theme. They are not recycle content and saying its new content like in dark below and house of wolves
